chicagofox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Also Everton have a great squad just a manager that can't get the best out of them. Id snap your hand off for half of their squad. None of the following would improve our squad: Robles, Howard, Hibbert, Gibson, Oviedo, Kone, Mirallas, Lennon, Cleverley, Funes Mori, Pienaar, Osman, Barry, Deulofeu, Besic, Jagielka.
dylanlegend Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I just hope Maclaren isn't sacked before next Monday
Sionnach gorm Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Newcastle's back is against a wall.! They will come out gunning from now on. This will be a win, I believe...but it will not be easy going.
tcrofts Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 For me the aim of the squad should be to win the league in our next six games. Newcastle (h) Palace (a) Southampton (h) Sunderland (a) West Ham (h) Swansea (h) We will start as favourites in all those games and there isn't one of those fixtures I would be happy to take a point from. Every fixture looks difficult now, even Newcastle at home but it's the old adage of taking one game at a time but we need to do it in these six games for me and see where we are after the Swansea match. All of these fixtures are MUST WIN. We've already achieved our goal this season, so no game is a must win.

This could be an agree to disagree moment. I'd take Mori and Jags over Big Was, Lennon, Deulofeu or Mirallas over Dyer And then there's the rest of them, I personally think they should be performing much higher than they are.
Viva Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 We've already achieved our goal this season, so no game is a must win. Do you not understand that goals can change throughout a season? Our goal now is to win the league.
Donut Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Do not assume that we will turn up and win easily. It never works out that way. Ever.
lgfualol Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Early goal would kill them. They did somehow beat Spurs at WHL so we should be wary.
WesMorganGod Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 We will beat them. they have nothing for us. 2-0 to us.
Kendal Fox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 As someone else mentioned about Watford in the post-match thread, I see this match similarly as a potential banana skin, for diferent reasons of course.More that they are bound to sit deep on us, knowing that a point would be massive for their confidence going into the clashes with Sunderland and Norwich which they would then fancy their chances of playing for, and taking the available 6 points from.Of course we SHOULD win, but as we've learnt from the likes of Bournemouth, Villa and Norwich (not so much WBA as they've just landed 3 points vs UTD and are obviously staying up with the possibility of finishing 10th or just above), no team is that innocuous that they can't throw a spanner in the works for us, especially this close to the home straight. I expect Claudio and the lads to be mindful of this and have a plan b and c to go to.Also, it would be great for us from a psychological point of view to bang a few goals in - a 4 or 5 goal haul please! - as we've had a couple of very narrow victories of late and need to get that goal diff between us and Spurs improved in our favour.I'm hoping a cagey first 25 minutes sensibly unfolds into a nice, comfortable brace of first half goals for us, with another couple in the 2nd half to secure things. 4-0 Foxes please!!! (Vardy hat-trick, Huth from a corner).
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 i just hope claudio and the boys don't take this as easy as us fans think this is going to be. Newcastle is the kind of team that wins when you least expect them too. They've already sprung a few surprises and i can see them causing us all sorts of problems. They might be more rubbish at home due to the toxic atmosphere there, when they play us they will be fighting for everything and no one really expects them to win - so no doubt it will be a tough game
chicagofox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Do not assume that we will turn up and win easily. It never works out that way. Ever. It did at their place this season.

To say the mood there is toxic is an understatement. Newcastle should play better away from home, I would think.
ARM1968 Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Approach professionally and with respect for the opposition. Stick to our game plan. Play our game. We should win. Will never accept this over confidence bollix creeping in from some. No game is a given. Everything has to be fought for.
Gforce19 Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 They are low in confidence and if we score early the flood gates will open . We are far too good for them, this is not like WBA where with organisation they can scrape a draw, I genuinely think we will put at least 5 past them , we put 3 past them at their place before people slate me for over confidence . We are TOTL and currently have won more games than anyone else, if I can't predict a hammering now , when can I ever? Especially if they still have the wally with the brolly still in charge.

Newcastle should play better away from home, I would think. I would imagine it's the same on the road as The atmosphere from their fans the last couple of times at the king power has been pretty toxic Slagging off mike Ashley and singing we're sh!t and we're sick of it

Newcastle should play better away from home, I would think. Funnily enough that isn't what's happened this season. Newcastle are 19th in the 'Away Games Table' with 7 points but 14th in the Home Table with 17 points.
HighPeakFox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I really wish people would not use loaded words like 'unacceptable' about things like not winning - it's as bad as describing a mistake as 'unforgiveable'. A non-win would be a disappointment, but acceptance is importance. Of course, as far as the deluded Gooners are concerned, Leicester doing them for the title is 'unacceptable'.............

Monk Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 It's a shame spurs are at Villa else we'd be looking to open up an 8 point gap. Now, that would be sick.

All of these fixtures are MUST WIN. This. Absolutely agree with this. We can run away with the title as Gerard has said in the next 6 games and make it impossible to be caught. If you don't think Spurs and the Gunners don't realise our run in and the need to not drop any points is more an issue for them than us with a 5 and 8 point lead respectfully. Logic says we are strong favourites to win it with this run of games. The lat 3 could be academic really if we can get close to maximum points in these games.
