fuchsntf Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Qeserves all the negative flak he is getting.I for one actually thought he would steer them, into a top 12 spot, even leading into 2016. Look at their squad, the players have delivered in some games individually, but nobody on the pitch has taken responsibility.Neither do they show any team spirit. Last year before our fight back, maybe Wasi was our leader, with Cambiasso, then Huth came then he and Cambiasso led the way. We competed at least, one negative piece of play, Newcastle throw the towel in. Actually proves what Leicester spirit seems to be of patented since winning the Championship. It helped us to stay up, and has now took us on this tremendous ride. Newcastle have quality players, but way off anything mentally , that Burnley, Bournemouth and City have. Even if Big Mac has been lacking, the players should of been deliverying, some backbone. Newcastle game will still be difficult, but we as fans, should be expecting a couple of goals above a 1-0.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Normally I'd be worried that teams will park the bus on us but Newcastle don't. They couldn't stop a spacehopper going into their net at the moment.
David Hankey Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Newcastle are aimless, rudderless and in severe decline currently and, perhaps, will go straight through the Championship. Folk reckon they are a 'Big Club' but at the end of the day what matters is; who is at the helm and what the players do on the park!! Leicester will sail by them and could record their biggest win of the season given the performances by both teams yesterday. Having said that Ranieri will continue to keep his and his players' feet firmly on the ground.
Birmingham fox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Fvck it - a 6 nil win for us to make up the GD Like your thinking, although spurs away at villa. Can see them winning by a few also
Guest ttfn Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Last time Newcastle were at this low an ebb we beat them 3-0 at SJP. Next game they beat a fast-improving Liverpool 2-0. I don't think they've got enough about them defensively to keep us out if they try to play like Norwich did. They've not even got 4 fit defenders right now and if their back 4 includes Taylor, Lascelles and Colback again they're in all kinds of trouble.
justfoxes Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 They are in free fall and could be following Villa I'm going for a cheeky 3-0 win for the mighty foxes !!
sdb Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Must win. If we play our best game we will, especially if McClaren is still in charge. I say 'must win' because to me our run in is actually tricky. We play 15th, 16th, 17th and 19th in the coming weeks. None of them are going to be complacent or give anything other than 100%.
STUHILL Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Need the points on the board now because are last 3 games are very tough. Man U been crap most of the season granted but at Old Trafford, they can beat anyone on their day. Chelsea showing signs of their old selves and Everton are a very dangerous attacking team. Win these group of games and lets win it with games to spare if at all possible!
TJB-fox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 They have a decent record against the top end sides, this will be a hard game and not to be underestimated
The Guvnor Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Could be another sacking on the cards following a defeat to Leicester
filbertway Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 It's hard not to be confident about this one. They haven't even got hard work on their side. Just an embarassing manager and an embarassing team. Turn up, play as we usually do, work as hard as we usually do. We should win this by 3 or 4.
Benji Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Their defence yesterday was abysmal. Often walking back at a snail's pace and letting through balls cut them open with ease. They need to really come out firing because if they play like that again next Monday then they're in a lot of trouble. That said, every now and again their team seems to show up and give someone a game, so who knows. Hope we just get on the front foot from the first minute and try to take the game from them - get an early one and their heads might drop pretty quickly.
UPinCarolina Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Every game from here on in is a must win...but I expect all to be tough. We have a target on our chest and our opponents have survival to play for.
Monk Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I can't see past a win here. Watched the second half of their Bournemouth game and they were woeful. Positional sense of the defence is non existent and their fans attitude is poisonous.
chicagofox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 This is so easy on paper I'm really worried Would you be less worried if it was really hard on paper? We should start with the same 11 that started the second half against Watford.
Durnerz Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 We've already got Monk and Mourinho sacked this season, let's add another 'M' and make it a hat trick! In all seriousness, much like the other games, it's another potential banana skin but with confidence high its highly probable we'll get a result.
Hammered Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Just my humble opinion right here, and I hope I don't jinx it but I think this will be a massacre. They'll go home crying.
Clever Fox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 They'll have Pearson in charge by a week on Monday. Not a bad shout but I think he'll end up at Leeds for next season.
Brooksy Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 If McClaren's still there I reckon this'll be the first thrashing of the season. 5 or 6 nil.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 For me the aim of the squad should be to win the league in our next six games. Newcastle (h) Palace (a) Southampton (h) Sunderland (a) West Ham (h) Swansea (h) We will start as favourites in all those games and there isn't one of those fixtures I would be happy to take a point from. Every fixture looks difficult now, even Newcastle at home but it's the old adage of taking one game at a time but we need to do it in these six games for me and see where we are after the Swansea match. All of these fixtures are MUST WIN. Really aren't all must win. Nothing is must win while we are five points clear, it'd be nice to get it done before the three harder games but given they way we've played away this season we can go anywhere and pick up points, so no game is must win atm. You'd think given Spurs have villa the day before our lead will probably cut to two so three points monday would be extremely welcome but not essential. Palace are in free fall and Swansea at home should really be 3 points. Saints and w ham are good outfits and Sunderland scrapping for their lives and unlike Newcastle are at least attempting to make a fist of it. We won't win them all and i wouldn't expect us too, if we do leagues ours.
