Hack Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 The question is what will our starting line up be ? The one that started at Watford or the one just after half time ? Team that started and has started almost all season!!!
Max Power Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 New manager or not, they are absolute garbage from top to bottom and front to back. We will destroy them. Would like to see Schlupp start on the left, he'll rinse Janmaat all day long.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Kante Drinkwater Schlupp King Vardy Subs: Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Amartey, Albrighton, Gray, Okazaki, Ulloa
shen Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 We have to stay disciplined and keep doing the simple things right and the result will come. The Norwich and WBA games should serve as reminders that we HAVE to show up and take our chances because one lapse of concentration and it might all fall to pieces.I expect Ulloa to start given how he's scored against them the last couple of times. Their defense really struggles to deal with the threat of Vardy and Ulloa at the same time. Mahrez should get plenty of opportunities to run at their defense too if Colback plays left back again. The only players I see as potential dangermen are Wijnaldum and Ayoze Perez. Shut down Shelvey and they will have virtually no outlet.
theessexfox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I'd play Ulloa, their inability to cope with anything in the air when we won 3-0 at home last year was astonishing. I remember Coloccini letting a long ball bounce so early on, from which we won a corner and scored, and that really set the tone. If we get off to a flyer here we really could win at a canter, but an early goal is key.
separator Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Newcastle forum, reporting that mclaren has been sacked, could pearsons return to management be at the KP http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/12185458/David-Moyes-in-pole-position-to-take-over-Newcastle-hot-seat-as-Steve-McClarens-exit-looms.html also the odds on Pearson taking the role have shortened from 12/1 yesterday to 13/8 now http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/newcastle/next-permanent-manager although at 13/8 the bookies don't know who's taking over either if true
TJB-fox Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Pearson would be stupid to take that job I think, it's a death trap. Almost inevitable they'll get relegated and he'll be managing with Ashley as his boss and Graham Carr as head of his recruitment. Yes Newcastle is a big job and a potentially great project, but it could so easily go wrong for him.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 looking at there injury list, they have a few players due back, the break might give them time to regroup. just watched highlights of their wins against spurs and liverpool, and to be fair they looked quite dangerous creating plenty of chances. might just be the highlights though making them look better than they are/were. They came back strongly against spurs after going a goal down. I really hope ranieri fires the boys up for this one stressing it will be very difficult and preparing the boys for the best possible Newcastle. The feeling i'm getting from the fans which might leak onto the players is one of 'this is one we should win easily' - we need that killer instinct. Vards needs to be clinical.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Let's hope the manager is still there The wally with a brolly has lost them We don't want him sacked this week ThisHopefully a win for City but I genuinely don't underestimate anyone in this division
possiblygeorge Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Some, or a lot, will disagree when i say i think we need to start Ulloa. He just seems to pose a threat and loved playing Newcastle last season. Headed home a goal in the first 40 seconds, or so, of the match. ThisHopefully a win for City but I genuinely don't underestimate anyone in this division This. Especially in our position at the moment and this late into the season.

roblcfc84 Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Made for schlupp this one - DJ at RB has a reckless streak. Also mahrez against dummet. Away from home they are awful - early goal and i can see a 3-0 win
Aus Fox Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Leo loves a goal v Newcastle, scored in his last 3 against the Geordies. I would start him for this one, the rest of the team picks itself.

I think he might start, we did the same at their place this season. I would prefer it to be honest, we're not firing up front at the moment and missing lots of chances. I'd rather have a more natural finisher up there with Vardy until he finds his shooting boots again.
foxes161 Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Don't see point in Newcastle sacking mclaren at this point
dylanlegend Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Could be a banana skin if a new manager is in place by next Monday, everyone knows teams play awesome when they get a new manager

Les-TA-Jon Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 This game is NOT a given. New manage or not - despite their awful form and general negativity around the club - every team in this league - including NUFC - is dangerous and capable of beating anyone.
ScouseFox Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Villa didn't even villa get a draw vs man city in garde's first game?

filbertway Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Nah Newcastle are seriously poor. I'd be sick if we dropped anything against them. We're too focussed and hard working. It'd take something crazy like a double red card in the 5th minute for Kanté and Morgan for us not to win this.
