Ranieri; "I want to retire at Leicester City"

Recommended Posts

Claudio has posted on record his desire to retire here at Leicester City and is not tempted to manage Italy.

He is very happy and we are more than pleased with what he has achieved, long may it continue.

This is great news for the Club and fans as he is turning out to be the best manager this Club has ever had.

Has a year to go before he can draw his old age pension.. So the extra £540 per month means he can relax a bit and takes the financial pressure off.. All makes sense.

Brilliant from the man again, stops dead in its tracks any speculation surrounding the Italian job that could distract our run in. He also seems so happy here and I think he will become a legend for us.

I so hope this is true and not another of Claudio's white lies. We really need him for next year's champions league campaign.

Apart from saying the transfer window was closed before we signed someone new, with such hardly being a stinging critique imo, what else has he said?

He said that there is a lot of work left. I suppose he means to make the club a permanent top fixture in the years to come. It would really be nice if a bad year for Leicester is sixth place. I am betting if that happens we will clammer "Ranieri Out" By his second or third season. Fans can be so fickle when success is seen as a "right" and is expected. :)

Obviously likes the atmosphere, and can pretty much do no wrong at the moment. I think the team and Claudio have been a pretty fortuitous coming together, long may it reign

Tell me he is fvcking joking after the shite he serves up would rather we got Holloway back for 6 seasons.

Glad someone has finally said it.

He's just moved into his house on Hands Avenue. Very Happy with the new  back garden gate they just put on.

Good news!, he is a good manager and has helped us, but he should also recognize that he is very lucky, he came into a great squad and with a great spirit and mentality that was already created and he is very lucky. So we deserve loyalty.

This is sport man, no one "deserves" loyalty.

Yes. Why would he want to go anywhere, anyway? He knows if he wins the title now, nothing can top that... Not even winning World Cup with Italy. The only way to top that would be to conquer the Champions League with Leicester of course

I'm pretty sure as an Italian, that would be the *only* thing that tops winning a title with us. Let's not kid ourselves.

He's not wrong though is he.

Most managers come into a mess, deadwood players, low morale, losing mentality, unhappy players.

Claudio was fortunate that he came into a well ran club with good foundations already put in place. He's obviously changed things tactically but players have already said he came in and didn't need massive changes.

It's a credit to Claudio that he saw this and carried on the good work whereas other managers would come in and want to make changes instantly.
