TheStig Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 According to the Danish newspapers Kasper left training with Denmark with a (apparently) small hamstring........ Cross fingers its not serious!!
Babylon Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 That's the second time that's happened when he's gone away isn't it?
weller54 Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Karma for us wishing that the Spuds players got injured?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Mark Schwartzer is having a party Bring your crossword and ya cardy
Nalis Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Please god no, if we play Schwarzer against Southampton I'll cry, would rather put Ulloa in goal in all honesty.
Finnaldo Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Nothing solid on it yet. Let's see what's what before panicking, he could be back for Southampton anyway.
ElusiveEd Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 According to the Danish newspapers Kasper left training with Denmark with a (apparently) small hamstring........ Cross fingers its not serious!! OK, Someone's gotta do it. I'll say it just to get it out of the way...... Hasn't his hamstring been the same size for a while? Why did they not notice this before? Shocking!
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Hopefully not serious and he's been sent back as a precaution. We do need to get another decent keeper in though, Schwarzer not up to the job.
davieG Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 This is news Claudio Ranieri would have been dreading. After watching Jamie Vardy open his England account on Saturday night in Germany, the Foxes have ben hit with a setback as Kasper Schmeichel has picked up an injury with Denmark. The injury comes less than a week after the goalie was voted Denmark’s player of the year for 2015. Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen joked at the event that Schmeichel may not return home from international duty in one piece. The comment was made in the context of Spurs’ title race with the Foxes. Now that joke has actually happened. Schmeichel trained for 20 minutes on Sunday before he had to stop. His injury has been labelled a “minor muscle problem in his thigh” by Ekstrabladet, however at this stage’s the problem isn’t fully known. The Danish press has published pictures of Schmeichel leaving Danish training. Denmark play Scotland on Tuesday, but Schmeichel is now almost certain to miss out.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Now that WOULD be a seriously bad setback for the team !! Fingers crossed that he felt it early enough not to have done any damage. Would you play young Iversen or the "mature/experienced" Schwarzer if you had to ?
The Doctor Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Hopefully it's nothing serious, if not, is iversen ready?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 If he is injured please play Hamer. I'm tempted to lump on Spurs if Kasper is injured
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 This is not the news I wanted to hear... The thought of Schwarzer actually being in goal sends shivers down my spine ...
stevelcfc Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Is Ben even Registered? Iversen is okay as he's U21.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Maybe it's a niggle and he thought he best come back here to get it sorted with our guys rather than theirs, they work miracles here, just look at kante and vardy, both came back a lot sooner than expected
VLC86 Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Is Ben even Registered? Iversen is okay as he's U21. With a beard like that I think he's auto enrolled on a register to be fair.
Ric Flair Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Iversen please. Forget Schwarzer and Hamer too busy lobbing piss and talking shit at Cheltenham and Talksport respectively.
weller54 Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Least we've got 7 days to get it sorted.. Just hope it's a precautionary action to send him home! It's our weak link due to insufficient back up.
FoxesFan94 Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 There's still a week until we play again... it says "minor" in the article so hopefully he's okay in a few days.
Brizzle Fox Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 I'm sure he'll be fine. Doesn't sound too serious. Would be very surprised if he's not on the pitch against soton. No need to panic....
