Schmeichel pulls out of training - Precautionary

If we play Iversen, I suspect grounding out one nils may be less than appealing. Vardy and Shinji are on form at least. It's exciting. Not frightening. Exciting...

Nothing wrong with Schwarzer. If he was as poor as the hysteria on here suggests then there's no way both Pearson and Ranieri would be selecting him on the bench over Hamer.

Rob Tanner has tweeted its only a slight problem and isn't a severe issue. I trust that if this is the case that our boys can sort him out in a week. Stick him in the cryo chamber a bit and jobs a good'un

#LCFC keeper Kasper Schmeichel has pulled out of the Denmark squad with a slight hamstring injury. Not severe.

Pointless ****ing friendlies!

And they were/are pointless.

Denmark aren't in the Euros, please tell me what the point of the friendlies was?

I can understand if they qualified for the Euros but playing a friendly for the sake of playing a friendly? That is what I don't understand about international football.

The only argument I can make for one of the friendlies is they played Iceland who have qualified by should that concern Denmark?!

depending on how "minor" the injury is...........ideally we'd rest him for the saints game.

Problem is we have a 40 something, a kid and a keeper who maybe isnt even registered as back up.

Decision to be made, unless kasper is somehow 100% on sunday do we risk playing him and possibly aggravating his hamstring causing a more long term injury?

Good grief, calm down.

You know how in the past Man U, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal players, et al, have pulled out of friendly internationals with injuries, only to be miraculously fine for their next club game?

Well that is what this is.

Hopefully he is OK for the Saints game, would not want Schwarzer anywhere near our goal having seen him play there last season fumbling balls into the goal or diving at a speed a snail could evade.

yeah, ive got spurs to beat liverpool and us to lose against southampton (Schwarzer og)

gap down to 2 points

we'll recover the 5 point lead with win at sunderland while spurs lose to man utd

panic over

With all due respect perhaps it's time to withdraw though because that to me says he's felt something or tweaked something (otherwise what 'precaution' has he left training for?!) so get back to Leicester and let our medical team look sort it!

Especially when as I've already made the point the upcoming game is a pointless friendly where neither Denmark or the team they're playing (Scotland) are going to Euros. It is the definition of a pointless friendly.

Still bemused as to how we thought a 43-year-old is a totally adequate back-up keeper. Hopefully Schmeichel is fine (and he appears to be) but how we didn't sign a younger back-up is strange.

We have never had good back up since schmeichel has been at the club, must think he is indestructible so no need

Anyone but ****ing Schwarzer. (Or however it's spelt)

From the pictures I've seen after the injury Kasper was walking fine, I'm not gonna let this worry me. Its also weird that I dreamt Kasper got injured last night, we also won the league in the same dream.

So you expect the squad to meet up 4/5 times in the build up to every tournament over a two year period? lol
