Confused as to why you're annoyed by that article? Thought it was pretty insightful, complimentary and interesting - I remember someone saying on here months ago that they'd had a chat with Laurent blanc over the summer about ranieri, and he'd said he's an excellent manager (especially defensively) but struggles man managing 'superstars'. Seems spot on to me. Ranieri's a very smart guy - when you are his interviews in any other language than English that really comes through. It's only in English that he has this 'jolly grandad' persona

Yeah I don't see what is wrong with the article. Im willing to bet some people are annoyed and haven't even read it.

It's pretty pointless and just states the obvious but it's not an attack or a dig at Ranieri.

are you having a laff ?

its like hes trying to find and fuel some reason for having a go at Ranieri for whatever reason he thinks in his tiny little mind thinks important ??

Ranieri - Class act and a gentleman.

Collymore - Hit Ulrika.

End of.

Can't see anything other than complements about us in that piece. Whats the problem with it?

I probably wouldn't have given this its own thread if I hated the article that much. Isn't it playing into the article's clickbait?

Not that unfair, Claudio is a lot cannier than he seems with the friendly grampa persona; although the idea that we've been targeting the title all season and deflecting it as just being about survival for the first few months is a bit ridiculous.

I genuinely can't see where he's having a go. Piece says he's managed expectations masterfully this season, and suggests that a team of hardworking talented players with no big egos suits ranieri's style of management more than a load of self-satisfied 'big names'. That seems about right to me.

That's what I thought, Ranieri is portrayed as intelligent, highly competent, ruthless and driven.

It's a great reference letter for a manager.
