Lionheart10 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 If we have won it by end of Everton game we ought to actually get a fat lady to sing. Is Sam Bailey still doing a turn?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 NEVER count your chickens etc. We still have a big job to do yet, so let's go for the jugular. Well said DT
ThaiFox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I'm certainly not celebrating yet. In all seriousness, clichés aside, you never know in football. But this team is so good and so professional. It's normal to be cautious but I just can't see them fvcking it up. Totally agree. I bet Ranieri had them in this morning reminding them of exactly that. When you've supported LCFC for 50 years you take nothing for granted. I was shaking on Sunday when we played Swansea and I was shaking with nerves last night too. I can't ever remember being as nervous in my life as I have been since January. I suppose it's because the prize is so big in the history of our club and I certainly never expected my club to win the P/L. I really hope we can wrap it up on Sunday because I could actually enjoy the last two games, rather than jumping up and down, pacing around, pulling my hair out, dreadful nightmares and not sleeping. Please don't let it slip now lads!
Sionnach gorm Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Sounds to me that people are afraid the ride might be over...just saying...
Bluetintedspecs Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Fvcking pussies, there's being cautious and there's being wet lettuces. The Spurs players and fans have more belief in us than some of you lot, incredulous.
Great Boos Up Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Will somebody shoot that fat bird, she's spoiling my pre champions celebrations. Before these results I was one of ones cowering in the corner. The odds of us not winning it now must be about 5000-1. It's impossible and will not happen!
weller54 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 If we have won it by end of Everton game we ought to actually get a fat lady to sing. Is Sam Bailey still doing a turn? Didn't mention a Fat,ugly lady!!!
foxy boxing Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Dilly ding dilly dong lets have Sam Bailey singing the victory ballad at the king powet
grth2004 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Woke up this morning and thought I just had a great dream. Glad it is not a dream but still slightly cautious to be jumping up and down celebrating, think it will be done at Everton although I hope it's against Man U as I'm out watching it in a pub in Nottingham and will be slightly hammered.
fuchsntf Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 KFC have ran out of chickens,Weightwatchers has no more singing fat ladies, The bubbles are too high to burst, But we have the best 3 game tactical gangster in Claudio And King Dick , who has kept his Power true to help his true blue charges. Gallant Knights of the KP round table., with a couple of dirtydeed assasins in Huth and Vardy. Merlin Mahrez the wizard. Okaziki the Samurai Caballero Ulloa..Zorro Thunder and lighting..Albrighton and german blitz Schlupp, The protectors Simpson and Fuchs. Jesus no wonder it will be our title...
Jacnah Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Let's just say we draw 1-1 Sunday. Spurs win 3-1 Monday. Gap 5 points. We draw 1-1 with Everton. Spurs win 2-0 v saints. Gap 3 points. There's easily a chance this could happen. Then it would be going down to the last game. This isn't over yet if it came to that it would be out of our hands last game
Corky Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I'm a pessimist and usually expect the worst but I don't think we'll throw this away now. Three chances to win a game is more than enough.
SpacedX Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Given the exquisitely crafted shit that we've taken on the so called 'elite' establishment - or as it was recently described, 'the glorious dump we've dropped on the status quo', it's hard to think of anywhere more apt than manure to finish 'the job' so to speak. It certainly isn't over yet, part of me wished it would be, but nerves permitting, a late goal from Kingy to force a draw on Sunday to bring the trophy home the following week against Everton.
Thracian Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 One game at a time lads. One game at a time. My take exactly. I remember Neil Kinnock celebrating prematurely before having the smile wiped off his smug face.
Mywifehitmuzzybyaccident Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I watched line of duty on sky plus with my wife during the Spurs WBA game.. Shitting it and not touching the iPhone on pain of death from she who must be obeyed. About 20 texts arrived at full time let me know it was a significant result. I am the only Leicester fan I know for miles and all my mates are delighted for me/us. I have witnessd utter feck ups and nonsense for years ..this is different....isn't it???? I can't believe champions league would feel like failure.. It would be so strange to just sort this out with two games to go it just doesn't sit right ... It's not how we operate Desperately hoping I'm wrong
fuchsntf Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I'm a pessimist and usually expect the worst but I don't think we'll throw this away now. Three chances to win a game is more than enough. What timing to suddenly become optimistic,.....Corky you know you will be to blame.....if.
Alf Bentley Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 My take exactly. I remember Neil Kinnock celebrating prematurely before having the smile wiped off his smug face. I remember it well as I was still a party member then. "Weeeeee're orrrlll-right!!!" or something like that. The Sheffield Rally, 1992. I cringed massively when I saw that on TV and felt a sense of doom! To be fair to him, he said afterwards that they knew from internal polling that they were struggling for other reasons ("tax bombshell" etc.) & he said it to boost morale, not due to excess optimism. Still looked terrible, though. Fortunately, I have no doubt that the squad/staff will indeed be taking it 1 game at a time, even if some fans aren't. I'm hopeful we'll get a result at Old Trafford & that Spurs may struggle at Stamford Bridge. But if it goes to the Everton match, we'll do the business there, I reckon. The focus, resolve and steely application are there.
biggs Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 No but she's eating her last 'donut' and 'tuna' melt!!!
4everfox Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Only once this season have we gone three Premier League matches without winning (Liverpool, Man City, Bournemouth) and even then we got two points. If we replicate that we will finish on 78, not entirely impossible. Spurs would have to win all three of their matches to topple us on goal difference bearing in mind the pressure on them to do so would be astronomical. Having said that I don't believe we will screw it up now, I think we will wrap up the title on Sunday as Manchester United are not the same as they were five years ago, they are perfectly beatable. Even at Old Trafford. Its time to buy a good bottle of champagne and get it on ice ready for Sunday / Monday lads. Never in my life did I think anything like this could potentially happen. This weekend is the championship point as they say in tennis, and we are gonna ace the f#ck out of it!
inckley fox Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 It's not unthinkable that we drop points at United, which is as tough a fixture as there is right now, on form and in terms of what they're playing for. A draw might turn out to be a good result, but any glimpse of light for Spurs could be seized upon and, with a bit of a point to prove to Chelsea, I wouldn't rule out a win for them. In that event, we'll get all those old doubts resurfacing in the Press, and a potentially nervy affair against Everton. They may even have moved Martinez on by then, so you could get a reaction. You wouldn't want to bet against Spurs beating Southampton or Newcastle, and you can't assume that Chelsea will roll over for us. If their professionalism is questioned, they will want to demonstrate what good pros they are. But there are six big games coming up between us and Spurs. All winnable and losable for both. If a win goes our way in any one of the six, or if Spurs and us both draw a game, we've done it. If we revisit that patch of form when we scraped two points together, and they revisit one of those patches when they won three on the bounce, they'll nick it. So it's good to be hopeful, but I'm not sure we'll do ourselves any favours if we start the celebrations now.
STUHILL Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Think that is an important point. It isn't necessarily 3 games for us, there are 6 games with Spurs games also possibly determining if /when we win it. Makes me feel more relaxed in that sense. As even if they beat Chelsea, Southampton can be a very dangerous side and even Newcastle could be fighting for their lives for a win. I think we are going to do it but I just hope we do it on Sunday as like you said, if we lose, it gives spurs and the press an opportunity to up the pressure on us again!
biggs Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 We will win all 3 games. Stop giving yourself a reason to doubt. Try a small step and enjoy the week up to the next match.
Sionnach gorm Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Dilly ding dilly dong lets have Sam Bailey singing the victory ballad at the king powet It must be Englebert Humperdinck! A famous Leicester boy.
Babylon Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 We will win all 3 games. Stop giving yourself a reason to doubt. Try a small step and enjoy the week up to the next match.Whose not enjoying it? You can still be very very happy with the current situation without strutting about acting all billy big bolloocks, because you think it's won.No doubt the same people who told us we were relegated last season before we were.
