Anyone know what position he plays, does he play more as a striker or winger?

I think he could suit our style very well.

Flying in from where? May be the owners will let him use their toy as Ryan Air and Eazy Jet all over-booked?

Cannot wait for the 30 Pages plus about the 'M's'.......

I've got a Russian friend who supports CSKA who despite his goals literally hates his guts. He says he is about as one-dimensional a player as you can get, very quick but lacks the basics, often struggles with ball control and a poor passer. Often doesn't really seem to be in control of the ball. Everything I've seen of him completely backs this up. Sickener if we are actually signing this guy. Hope it's something Walsh sees and not a last choice from a list of targets sort of signing.

Lloyd Dyer?

I am meeting Putin for a pie and pint later. I will let you know what he says.

Wow. Some negative reviews here. Hardly think he'd be an international captain and £20m+ player at 23 if he was as doggo as some of you are making out.

I'm excited about him personally but I can understand the scepticism. Players coming from Russia are hard to judge, Niasse who Everton signed from Lokomotiv was a goal machine in that league but looked hopeless in the Prem.

Willian played in Ukraine and Russia and I would take him in a heart beat so every player has to be taken on its own merit not just based on the league he's playing in. With the sky deal now 15-20 million isn't that much of a gamble anymore. It appears that the 10 million is the new 5 million with all the inflated prices about.

He may be surrounded by more talented players at LCFC plus the weather is warmer here. Walsh knows more than some random Russian 'mates'. Someone will be quoting BS from Marin Lawrensov next! Calm down.

Just remember this... Col is someone's Leicester mate, and he told them Cambiasso is shit.

I've watched several of his games and he had all the attributes to play for us. He looked perfectly capable of controlling and moving the ball on, without looking like some kind of bambi on ice type player who is out of his depth.

What he did do was play at a high tempo and at pace, when you run with the ball at such pace and try and move the ball on very quickly with with direct forward passes, mistakes get made.

Surround by like minded players he could thrive.

Stopped reading at "Col is someone's Leicester mate".

lol people not wanting him but have hardly seen him play

Ask any fan from man u, Chelsea, etc who have played cska in the CL, they will tell you Musa ripped them a new one.

Under our coaching, he will become an even better player. It's not like we are signing Ben Marshall. I hope he doesn't become a scapegoat, because he'll probably need time to adjust to the premier league. But potential wise he could be great for us.

Would be a very very good signing.

He's played Champions League football before which is important, having another player in the squad who has experience of playing in the competition. Musa, in my view, is what you'd call a high calibre signing, showing our ambition to move forward as a club. To sign any player who's played in the CL before shows ambition and that we're heading in the right direction. I understand by what I've read on here about his finishing, but there is potential to improve on that, just as Ranieri has improved our whole squad. Not just that, but over time he will also adapt to the level of English football in which will help him.

His description:  'He is known for his pace, dribbling, composure, versatility and defensive effort. He has been compared to Jesus Navas and Arjen Robben for his pace and his ability to cut inside and cause havoc, he is a good creator as well as corner specialist, scorer of many great balls in to the net.'

That description to me looks the real deal, and I think he would particularly suit us because of how we play. Players such as Musa will do well at a club like ours because we will play to his strengths, as well as him playing in a system which will suit him.

He's also 23... Look at Vardy's and Drinkwaters improvement over recent years. People can learn and improve.

This. You can't buy decent Championship strikers for less than £12-15m these days so getting a 23 year old who has experience of the CL, EL & World Cup would be fantastic. Loved the improvement in Mahrez, Vardy & even Schlupp under Ranieri so there's a chance this guy could blossom with us.

The point I've made too which is important. Not only will Musa have Ranieri to help him improve his game, but he will also adapt to top flight English football. Vardy and Drinkwater for instance, they had a season's experience of PL football and now they are referred to as 'quality, classy PL players.' I say this with any new signings, with time to adapt to the league they can follow in similar footsteps to our starting XI.  You are buying vast potential with Musa.

£16m is a great price. I see a Schlupp and Musa forming a solid friendship and getting into many shenanigans.

Looks fast and hard working. Doing some good business.
