dpjfox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 the deal has dragged on for that long surely all terms/documentation has been done, its just a case of passing the medical
mozartfox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 He was 21 when we started this deal And he will be 24 before all the 'M's' are completed.
CloudFox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Pretty sure it was mentioned that his medical would be yesterday, so would it expect that would all be done and dusted ready for an announcement today.
MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 You may argue as much as you want about Nigerians declaring a wrong age, but as long as he bags them in for the next two to three years and we'll then get a massive transfer fee when we sell him at age 26/27 , we'll be the ones laughing to the bank.
norwichfox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Pretty sure it was mentioned that his medical would be yesterday, so would it expect that would all be done and dusted ready for an announcement today. I've also seen it reported that he was travelling on Tuesday for a medical on Wednesday, memory fart and I can't remember where, maybe BBC or footmob on my mobile.

Unlike during August, there is no rush to announce signings. Mandy's agent gave Ryan the thumbs up middle last week, yet wasn't confirmed till Sunday.
Mezeker Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 in the club, on my phone looking at this thread like "this shit still ain't locked?".
DB11 Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 in the club, on my phone looking at this thread like "this shit still ain't locked?". Not until there's a picture of him holding the shirt, no.
Countryfox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Well..why didn't you state that at the start. Then I wouldn't need to put you in your place yet again. There are a significant number of posters who take it as a personal affront and an affront to the club if a signing doesn't come good - you're one of them. I don't like that attitude - football isn't that easy to predict, and, like I said, his style of play didn't fit in with the way the team evolved. Happened to Kramaric as well - and everyone - Club, Mercury and the fans talked them both up. But both were overtaken by events. But you, and your ilk, suddenly dismiss them as sub-par. Kramaric was in the recent Croatian squad and scoring for Hoffenheim - they liked him so much they hired him. I dislike it when players are sneered at because the circumstances conspire against them. Jamie Vardy's missus was dead right to disparage the Twitter trolls who were accusing him, in vile manner, of selling out. Turns out he showed loyalty but he'd received undeserved heavy vilification from all quarters by that time. I don't know Inler but he appears to be a nice guy - who elected to stay to see if he could emerge as a valued member of the squad. You just see players as objects to be traded on at the whim of the club, don't you? One of the FIFA 16 types. Thanks be you've nothing to do with the running of the club. Please, don't tell me I'm "speaking" absolute piffle - it's arrogant, stupid and inaccurate. And don't attempt to finish something you can't finish - "THE END" - how old are you, ffs? I await your next sally into the jousting pits with ennui and resignation. But, preferably, why don't you just jog on? Blimey !! .... I'm going back out to cut the grass. Let me know when things have calmed down a bit.
Babylon Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Well..why didn't you state that at the start. Then I wouldn't need to put you in your place yet again. Because it's fairly obvious I'd imagine. You asked a question about why he was still in the squad, I gave you a possible answer. You then take it as a personal attack that someone gives fairly reasonable and logical response all things given. There are a significant number of posters who take it as a personal affront and an affront to the club if a signing doesn't come good - you're one of them. I don't like that attitude - football isn't that easy to predict, and, like I said, his style of play didn't fit in with the way the team evolved. You just see players as objects to be traded on at the whim of the club, don't you? One of the FIFA 16 types. Thanks be you've nothing to do with the running of the club. You wanted an example of piffle, all of the above. A weird rant that has nothing to do with anything, filled with hyperbole and you presuming to know what I think. Well, yeah cheers but you're talking out of your arse. But, it's a slow day I'll give it a go. You say "his style of play didn't fit in with the way the team evolved", so I'll you refer you back to what I said the first time. The manager didn't have trust / faith whatever you want to call it, in him to be able to get the job that we needed done. Doesn't mean he's shit, I never said he was.... it means the manager thinks he's either not capable of, or there is someone better for, the job in hand. As for Kramaric (not sure we he's got to do with anything) perhaps you should read this thread where I actively defended him by saying we'd changed managers. We can't know what would have happened with him had Pearson stayed. I've argued against the hype people placed around him, with little to back it up. But I've never written the bloke off. I dislike it when players are sneered at because the circumstances conspire against them. Jamie Vardy's missus was dead right to disparage the Twitter trolls who were accusing him, in vile manner, of selling out. Who has sneered at him, FFS stop going all drama queen (for the record I'm sneering at you now). Vardy, his Mrs, twitter trolls, players as objects, FIFA 16... honestly, what has any of this got to do with anything? It's got nothing to do with anything I've said that's for sure, it's not remotely related. If the guy isn't in the managers plans, the reality is the club will try and move him on. He may go, he may not... but it's a fact. I really have no idea why that is seen as such a bad thing to say. I think you need to go back and read everything again, you've got your knickers in a twist about absolutely nothing. Ranting away because someone had the gall to reply to a question. Anyway, feel free to reply with some pseudo intellectual piffle... it won't get read.

Danno Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Being a goalkeeper is a lot different to playing in midfield for 40 odd games a season.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Being a goalkeeper is a lot different to playing in midfield for 40 odd games a season. Taribo West is a perfect example. It's a poorly kept secret that the bloke was 12 years older than he claimed to be. That makes him 39-40 when he was playing for Derby in the 00/01 season.
Babylon Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 The blokes shit hair and 'tash don't help him. In fact they age him massively... get a shave and fade and he looks about 15 years younger.
gerrytaggart Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 The blokes shit hair and 'tash don't help him. In fact they age him massively... get a shave and fade and he looks about 15 years younger. Are you in a position to call someone else' hair shit?

Mendy's medical was supposedly on Monday 20th and it was announced 13 days later - I wouldn't hold your breath!

Countryfox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Being a bit lazy here as I've not studied the form or watched videos but whats the main differences between Musa and Slimani. Which is better for our team ? Quick as you like please so that I can sound all knowledgable down the pub later.
Babylon Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Are you in a position to call someone else' hair shit? Well I have hair and I have it cut, so that probably puts me ahead of him already on two points. Whether you or I think it's shit is entirely subjective, someone somewhere thought this wasn't shit. For the sake of argument though, you can be the judge. It won't win any awards, it costs me £7.50... but I make an effort.

Good luck down the pub.
