Guest CityFan 06 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Do we think he will be bought as the 'summer striker signing' or will he be utilitiezed more in the midfield role? Can't work out if he will be Vardy's new regular strike partner like Okazaki currently is. I still feel we need another striker if Musa comes though. Slimani would be one of my choices.

If we need a striker then it's a 10 to battle with Okazaki. I see Musa as being roated with Vards and used on the wing. We have a big man in Ulloa so I don't see the point of Slimani. A creative 10 would be my choice to fill something we're lacking.

richardsfoxes Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Difference is in the Russian league you probably get what 20 chances a game, in the premier league your lucky to get 2/3 clear chances.
4everfox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Mendy Musa Vardy Luan Zieler to come in for Schmeichel when needed, Hernandez for Simpson, Keane/Hernandez/Wasilewski for Morgan/Huth, Chilwell for Fuchs, Albrighton/Gray for Mahrez, King/Amartey/Inler for Drinkwater/Mendy, Schlupp/Albrighton/Gray for Musa, Okazaki/Ulloa/Musa for Vardy/Luan. We will have great options.
TJB-fox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Feel similar to what those have posted above, yes it's all well and good bringing him in i am pleased but I do want an Okazaki upgrade. Not that I'm anti Shinji I just think we will need better and he's our only player that can naturally play that position. Is Luan a number 10/9?

Fox 4 Life Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Also, Ramadan ends today anyway. It's Eid tomorrow. Next year it starts on May 26. In 2018 it will start in mid May. Just in time for the champions league final.....
MPH Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Wouldn't say I'm being a drama queen. I'm contributing to said discussion board by pointing out that people's concerns about something are unwarranted. If that upsets you then I'd say it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black... You used the phrase ' so worried' no one was worried, I'm not even concerned. Just curious. So, yeah, have a nice day drama queen!

Allfoxedup Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Like Rizlcfc and others have mentioned. Will not be an issue so many big game players in prem (past and present)are muslim in prem ozil hazzard toure nasri sissoko they all cope and our fitness nutrition team is one of the best in business. Kante mahrez inler are all muslims at lcfc. Fasting although compulsory does provide certain exemptions. Next year Ramadan will still start after season has ended so won't affect lcfc for a while.
Callabinho Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 I imagine he will play more as a wide man, he seems to like coming in onto his right peg.

st albans fox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Eden Hazard is Muslim? Eiden hazard probably would be
4everfox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 I think you missed out a certain little French midfielder I should have put on the assumption that Kante leaves which I think he will and that is what it was based on BUT if we did keep Kante then our squad would be ridiculously good. I'd probably bench Mendy and slowly integrate him into the starting line up.
SheppyFox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Low centre of gravity, eh? Marvellous scouting as usual, attention to detail and all that... Medical pun

Sigurdsson of Swansea would be ideal for this. I do think though, King could do this role if need be. He's creative, can cross/thread balls into the strikers and he's one of the best midfield finishers we've currently got. Not only that, but King makes some excellent runs into the box, as well as his efforts in defensive work, which he does subtly but to a very good standard. I suppose Slimani and Ulloa are similar strikers, but having said that, I still think we need an out & out goalscorer to assist Vardy's goals. If Ulloa were to play every league match, he'd get 10-15 goals for me. I can see Okazaki scoring more next season, and he's had a season to adapt and gain himself experience of top level English football so I think Shinji will contiune to progress. Ultimately it will usually cost money to buy a fairly prolific PL striker, but it could be worth it in the long run.
Nalis Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 I think you missed out a certain little French midfielder Maybe he knows something we dont...
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Maybe he knows something we dont... Kante is going nowhereHopefully
Tielemans63 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 “Musa deserves to play in the Premier League. We were very lucky to have him, both as a footballer and as a person,” said CSKA general manager Roman Babaev. “Ahmed works a lot and is very reliable. He wasn't disappointed when we decided not to sell him in the winter, but rather promised to help us win the title.” Sounds like a top guy as well.
Lcfclad2013 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Hi all very good article if you want to read it. I'll paste majority of it http://the4thofficial.net/2016/07/leicester-city-linked-with-african-star-would-he-be-a-good-fit/. What transpired for Leicester City last season needs no introduction. From being a side that looked like a prospective relegation scrapping team, they defied the odds, fascinated one and all with scintillating performances one after another and eventually imprinted their name on the prestigious English domestic league crown. The tricky part about winning is that we need to replicate ourselves and be consistently consistent to show the naysayers that what was achieved was not by whims or a matter of luck. In the pursuit of catering to the same, the Foxes are looking for the best ammunitions to add to their arsenal and ensure that they put on a fight right until the end, and a certain Ahmed Musa rightly fits their bill. Musa is naturally a winger with outrageous pace which makes him a priceless asset for any side he plies his trade in. He can play on either wing or lead the line for his team. He has bagged 54 goals from 168 for the Russian outfit along with notable experience in the national shirt as well, including the winners medal in the African Cup of Nations in 2013. Of course, his speed makes it troublesome for his opponents to mark him but this isn’t the only attribute he has on his tray. The Nigerian international isn’t tactically very sound and offers a serious threat on the counters which makes him a perfect fit for the English champions. His composure on the ball is pretty impressive considering his young age. He can create space for his fellow attackers as he stretches the opponents’ defence and puts the goalkeepers under pressure with his stinging long-range shots. He does come with his limitations of being a poor header of the ball owing to his petite frame of 5’7”. Apart from these, there isn’t anything substantial to demean Leicester City’s prospective investment (if you ignore the ironical fact that he is an Arsenal fan). Ranieri has transformed his below-par side into serial match winners and there is no reason why he can’t do the same favour to a hard working player like Ahmed Musa. Coming back to the couple of questions that we put forth before, we believe that he is definitely worth the hype that is garnering around him owing to the fact that he has already accumulated plenty of clubs and national team’s experience and can hit the ground running next season.
AyewJoking Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Looking forward to seeing him get on the end of some of mendys long diagonal balls!
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Researched his goal record last season and he was CSKA Moscow's top scorer. 13 Russian Premier League goals, 1 Russian cup goal and 4 Champions League goals - 18 in total. I think it says on his wiki page he scored 11 but 16 in total so not sure about that...
