We do need another striking option. Shinji isn't going to get any more than 10, Ulloa isn't cut out for the level we're trying to achieve and Musa is clearly going to be frustrating. One week brilliant the next not so. So if Vardy was to get injured I think we would be in a sticky situation.

I'd be happy with him. A lot of players are late bloomers and he's clearly got something about him. 17 goals in a very strong La Liga in an average side is a great return.

Right now the club has a 23-man first team squad, with three under-21's (although only Chilwell "counts" for Champions League). And no bench: There are no shining lights on the U23 squad to provide cover, since the best two players have been loaned out. I just don't see us going into Champions League with that little back-up. We could have one more signing for our CL squad (two more, if M. James isn't put on it, and he doesn't need to be). If only two signings, I would take a RB and CM. We don't need another striker.

We are only an injury or two away from being bare in any position really Defence Midfield or attack

I'd be very pleased if this signing is true, and of course it means we would have a fifth striker which is what I've been saying. Vardy, Okazaki, Musa, Ulloa and Perez.
