Different type of players, Rooneys biggest asset is his pace(which he has lost). Also, I think zlatan has kept himself healthy and fit while Rooney has not.
SystonFox Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 When did Rooney have pace? His biggest asset was his footballing brain and vision of the game. The games moved on and he isn't as special as he probably should have been. also you're right he hasn't kept himself top top
steveherbe Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 What a classless, ignorant twat Guardiola is. Claudio may not be a better manager, but I'd prefer him to that goon all day long. Called him a see you n tea, and stand by it. Have some respect you clown.

Barky Posted 2 January 2017 Posted 2 January 2017 Guardiola I sort of hope he figures the premier league out eventually and puts a good team together, but it's fun watching him capitulate and try to blame the league or anything he possibly can before he'll admit he maybe isn't quite as good a manager as Messi and a piss weak German league have made him look. It's great to see an arrogant person knocked down a peg or two and even better when they lose their shit because they can't handle it.

AKCJ Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Not often that the phrase "spot on" is used to describe Garth Crooks but he's dead right here. Sick of Mike Dean ruining football matches.
ealingfox Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Even further back Big Nige called him out in a big way and it seems a lot of people might see where he was coming from then. The arrogance of the man is frightening at times.
MC Prussian Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Raheem Sterling just once more proved what a poor example of a footballer he is. That dive in front of the Burnley goal just before Agüero scored was horrendous. Up there with Dele Alli as one of the most despicable young players in the league, setting a bad precedent with their attitude and lack of sportsmanship. I don't think their goals can act as an excuse or a cover.
FireFox Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Fvck, Bournemouth up. And now they get a pen. After advantage played. Oliver showing why he is one of the best.
foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Michael Oliver is a superb referee. Refreshing to see nowadays

They both break very quickly
Corky Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Xhaka's defending was abysmal. It was a soft foul, I can see that argument, but he shoved over a player who wasn't anywhere near the goal or even looking to shoot. Just brainless.
crazyleicester Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Peps losing the plot. He is used to world class players performing against lesser players and winning 5-0 every week. He only had a couple of games that challenged him in Germany and Spain every season. Coming to England and taking on sides like ours who dismantled his mob is just weird for him and he doesnt seem to comprehend it. He also looks as rough as a badgers arse these days. This time of the year he would be on a nice winter break relaxing at home counting his money or polishing his trophy (not a euphemism) but now he has to go to Liverpool one day and then entertain the mighty Burnley a couple of days later. He then has to take his side down to London to play the bubble blowers on a Friday night. I reckon by mid Jan he will need to be sectioned.

MPH Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 Interesting fact on the BBC website just now... On this day 8 years ago Bournemouth were 23rd in league 2.

Incredible really. I know some people get sick of the media love in that Eddie Howell gets buy you can only applaud him for the job he's done there
StanSP Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 3-0 bournemouth. But that nudge is the same as what Xhaka did on Fraser. Yet not given .
Jimothy Posted 3 January 2017 Posted 3 January 2017 How is that shove by Fraser on Bellerin any different to Xhaxa's on Fraser for the penalty?
