Tuna Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 Stoke don't have enough points to be on the beach. They're a team of thugs, mercenaries and geriatrics with a mardy as fcuck manager.
brucey Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 West Ham's first goal conceded vs Arsenal today was a carbon copy of Mahrez's cross-shot... https://my.mixtape.moe/hcwsqb.mp4

Schlupp's probably staying with Palace if they go down. Apparently he's on 60k and had a wage clause put in his contract, that he won't get a wage cut if they get relegated. Heard that too. At the moment it is looking like a good move for him, because he is starting most games. I do wonder how long that will continue though as he will never shake his limitations as a LB or a winger. Was a great bit of business from us.

Apart from a few players, they are a very average team and their manager doesn't inspire any confidence with his dull personality. Think they will be fine again this season but may struggle next season if they don't spend a lot in the summer.

Contrasting that to now just vindicates Vichai's call, genuinely believe we were set for relegation under Claudio sadly. We might even be cut adrift by now like Borough

Right at the death, too. Won't post a link though coz that might get me banned.

He just hasn't seemed happy ever since the aggro he had at Chelsea. He's lost his cheeky chappy swagger and he's having a pop at whoever he can, when he can. Saying this is ok...only cuts it for so long. Remember when he did this at Chelsea last time round and the outcome there? If he really doesn't rate Shaw..no problem...sell him. Don't be publically slagging him off. What will that achieve? Do what Fergie did..just get rid. Man Utd have certainly looked better under Jose than under Van Gaal. They look more dangerous going forward. But their inability to finish sides off is their Achilles heel. For Utd to progress under Mourinho, they must get a very very good finisher at the club. Big Ibra can't do it all alone. I'm sure they will. They will go out and spend huge once more. To be honest, if Mourinho DOESNT get them right back on track next season, it will show he's finally lost what he had. imo. He isn't the first manager to suffer at the hands of the Chelsea dressing room though. They seem to have a habit of turning on managers for all sorts of reason's. I agree he does seem more serious than before though but then as we know the image presented to the press isn't always the same behind closed doors. Spot on about the striker. They need goal scorers and no doubt as you said they'll go out and spend big on them this summer. To be honest if Mourinho can't turn Man Utd around then I can't see who can for a while. It does seem sometimes though he's the only one who can't get away with "it will take time, give him time" like other managers who spent fortunes.

This is an actual quote from a Spurs fan on the Guardian post-match thread: "Goal difference +38, equal with Chelsea, maybe on course for best in the league for the second season in a row" Fvcking thick spuds fans happy to have the best goal difference. But in this game What do points make? The sad thing is they let the thick cvnts vote as well

This is why players like Schlupp can still fetch big money. People look at him and see he has great physical attributes with his pace, strength and stamina and he looks like a rough diamond. I was a big advocate of Schlupp just over a year a go as I thought the same and hoped he would turn into a brilliant attacking full back. The reality is when you hit your mid 20's and you still haven't developed into that player then at some point you have to accept they probably won't be that player. Getting £12m for a player that's 24 and played over 100 games and six years since your debut is great business when they just haven't developed into that player you wanted them to be.
Koke Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 Other than running I'm not really sure what else Schlupp is good at.
foxy boxing Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 the Sheikh at Man City must be shaking his head, he expected a hell of a lot more for his money from the so called Messiah Pep!. Pep has so much work to do to convince people in this country that he is the real deal! it's one thing managing two of the best club sides in the world, where winning the league every year is pretty much a given, it's a totally different thing managing a club in transition in the most physical leagues in the world!. he's got to learn it's not all about tikka takka and possession based football

I wished I could post here last night instead of having my account suspended because I pointed out that okazaki only has 7 league goals in the last two seasons or having a deferent football opinion than some "influential" posters here, apparently, you get restricted/suspended in this forum for rubbing "some" people the wrong way, while nothing happens to others here as far as I know (e.g the slimani celebration comment), if you don't like my opinions, there is an "ignore" option, have fun!

I'd probably take some pride in having the best GD as well if there wasn't anything left in the season to realistically play for.

Schlupp has a glittering CV as well which would have added to his price. - Club's Young player of the year for 2 seasons running (although he had no eligible competition for the award) - PL winner medal with 24 appearances (although most game time was in first half of season when we couldn't keep a clean sheet) - CL experience (although at fault for at least 3 goals in a dead rubber while standing around disinterested) - Experience of a PL relegation battle and of championship promotion (fair enough I guess) Though 12m is still just about acceptable in the current market for an impact sub/versatile backup player IMO.

This will make Grey's agent want crazy money even more now, so not a good thing for us.
