That Swansea result reminds me of us in 2003/04. So much hard work for 85-88 minutes but fall apart at the crucial stage.

...?

They were taking great pleasure in our peril and their apparent safety when they beat us... they're certainly not singing it any more!

I agree with Pickford if Kasper does go. Or Joe Hart. Hart would also be captain material if Morgan finds game time harder to come by.

Maguire would be decent. Gibson would be excellent.

Sigurdsson is a dream that won't happen I think, a bit like Kinkladze in the 90s. But he would be a superb signing.

Antonio would be good at right mid although that would be if Mahrez goes or if we move Riyad inside, which would mean no Okazaki. Antonio is versatile though with an eye for goal. How well could he actually play the Okazaki role?

Lanzini is class.

Obviously I don't want a brand new team but a couple of those mentioned would be great business I reckon.

I agree, although if Swansea do go down, that will help and I can't see a bigger club than Everton coming in for him and if they don't, then I think we could be ahead of others like WBA, Southampton etc, simply because we pay good wages. A lot will depend how we strongly we finish this season though, but as long as Everton don't go after him and he wants to stay in the Prem, I think we have a decent chance.

With Ulloa, Wasil, possibly Musa leaving, then I think 3-4 in would be enough, especially if we continue to play so well. A RB, no.10 and a CB are a must though.

We're too far above 18th to go down imo

Was worried again with scores going against us but Swansea losing should be enough for us.

West ham are the team who should be worried

and Palace. Their run in is the worst of anyones, especially if we beat them.

Yeah I agree Sigurdsson would be tempted by us if we go in for him. I think Everton have actually been linked though haven't they? I can also see a leftfield Liverpool or United (Rooney perhaps leaving) or someone similar making bids from nowhere just when we think we know where he's going.

I'm really happy with Simpson but do agree we need back-up or someone to push for a start at RB. Trippier would be amazing.

Can anyone dig this out on Twitter etc?

Gibson looks stinking bad. Is he actually decent usually or just young and English?

I think he got a lot of praise early on but Maguire is the one now that is getting all the plaudits.

I think either would be a decent signing for us, as Wes and Huth are on the decline and to bring in a young CB with Premier League experience, would be a decent investment.

We missed the boat with Keane, and if we might again with one of these. Being english certainly adds to the price tag though!

What happened to referees policing and punishing defenders pushing and shirt holding in the area? You know the change in policy to prevent City from winning the league again having relied on Huth and Morgan doing it all last season . Bournemouth and Liverpool appear to be doing it at every opportunity and they haven't been the only ones

They should be terrified - how crap must you be to have the Arse score 3 against you ?

It's been forgotten just like the other laws brought in at the beginning of the season

big mama sakho proving quite how good a defender he is. ranieri would probably still have a job if he'd signed him when we were linked.

When did schlupp become so scared of running with the ball. First sign of a defender he turns and runs the opposite way

Not making this up. This is an actual quote from a Spurs fan on the Guardian post-match thread:

"Goal difference +38, equal with Chelsea, maybe on course for best in the league for the second season in a row"

Deeney in slow motion is not a good sight lol

He looks heavier than usual. I think he will struggle to play at this level as he hits 30s and his body type catches up with him for a striker.

Fair play to Watford though. Looks like another successful season in the Prem. Thought they may struggle this season

Palace fans starting to turn on Schlupp... saying stuff like, not a defender as can't defend crosses, a winger maybe but keeps losing the ball, brainless at times, wondering what he thinks about going from our bench to their bench etc... lol

Schlupp's probably staying with Palace if they go down. Apparently he's on 60k and had a wage clause put in his contract, that he won't get a wage cut if they get relegated.
