Well if I was a Spurs fan (god forbid) there is no way I would settle for 2nd before the season starts. What sort of defeatist attitude is that, especially after last season. Any Spurs fan saying anything other is surely trying to play it down.

It was the same as a year ago. they were never really in with a chance. Would have liked them to get within a point of Chelsea cos it would have made their disappointment even more enjoyable next weekend.

The new stadium could turn out like the Emirates, a lifeless bowl & the players may not adapt to their new environments straight away. By that point, with no trophies and no success, their better players could be poached.
