They spent a grand total of ZERO days at the top. Think they went top for like 15 minutes the year we won the league

the fox Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 Love it or not, spurs are one or two players away from a title, they are just missing that player who can be silent for most of the game but ends up scrapping a game winner in an away game (I miss 2015-2016 mahrez)

Did you cry at Stamford Bridge and Did you cry at London Stadium Granted 2nd does rhyme great but fuck it. Have you ever seen Ali win the league? Have you ever seen Ali win the league? Have you ever seen Ali, ever seen Ali, ever seen Ali win the league? Have you ****. Have you ever send Vardy win the league? Have you ever seen Vardy win the league? Have you ever seen Vardy, ever seen Vardy, ever seen Vardy win the league? Yes you have / Champions! / something equally obnoxious. Repeat alternating for the entirety of both squads for ninety minutes. That'd about do.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 Title race, really? 4 points with 4 games to go isn't really a title race in my opinion..
Wymsey Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 Spurs might be an English 'powerhouse', but they know how to throw stones in glassed houses and ruining everything in front of them...
EastAnglianFox Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 Hahahaha so according to many on the fighting cock they are actually relieved they lost so now they can concentrate on finishing second without the players having to listen to the media who were continually putting pressure on them to try and force a title race that didn't even exist!! Even their main forums are all a bit...well Spursy!!

They will cash in on their other players too when the money gets waved about. You are correct they probably are 1 or 2 players away, however they had to win something last year or this year imo, from now all the good work they've done is gonna go downhill, they move to Wembley for a year, struggle, move to their new ground, struggle (For atleast 1 years, who knows if it'll be 2, 3...) those players are not gonna hang around, and as I say when other clubs come waving the cash Tottenham will accept. Only my opinion but I think it's a well reasoned opinion.

Arsenal struggled a bit when they moved to a new stadium and I think its gonna be worse for spurs. Ali, Kane, walker and rose are on demand and I can't see them not losing at least 2. I would've felt sorry for them if I didn't dislike them too much. Can't help but feel that they built their team the right way and actually picked up, gave time and developed their players to the level they are at today.
tom27111 Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 West Ham were 15/2 to win tonight. 15/2. At home. I'm glad I stuck 20 quid on it. Cheers Spurs

BoyJones Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 The trouble with Pochettino is that once again he has shown he doesn't have a plan "B". He didn't really have a clue how to break down West Ham's defensive system and when the chips are really down, he is nearly always found wanting. Not just my opinion, but a Spurs fan I drink with and a Saints mate I used to work with.
theessexfox Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 Tbf to Spurs, they won 9 in a row before this, if it wasn't for them this would have been one of the most boring seasons in recent years, doesn't really constitute a Gerrard-style bottle for me.
Koke Posted 5 May 2017 Posted 5 May 2017 Frank Sinclair and our Geoff Peters are rattling Tottenham fans tonight on twifter.
