Steven Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 I'm hearing he'll be signing and unveiled at a flash London hotel... The Ritz What a cracker. It's way you tell them.
ARCHER Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Cam Bert enlighten us on any developments regarding his potential signing?
ronnup Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Very naive to svante your mind after one performance. Look at the the rest of our squad. Danny Simpson anyone? He's class. Fits well. Would be great.
Daz93 Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Despite his misses I really like the look of him. Was linking up well with Lewandowski most of the time, had a nice touch, decent passing, and was in some good positions to finish. I think he could easily play the in-behind striker role for us.

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Cam Bert enlighten us on any developments regarding his potential signing? I doubt it! From what I've seen of Milik (only these last two games), he'd need five chances to score one. And as we know, scoring goals in Holland, where goals fly in for fun, is no certainty of doing it in the Prem. I'd rather take Deeney personally.
woznotwos Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Well you could judge him in his goalscoring record at Ajax and at international level. Granted, we can't always go off the standards of the Dutch league as there is some dreadful players in that league but there has also been some great strikers come from that league. Very harsh to judge a player after 2 games, especially when he scored in one of them! Inorder to formulate my own opinion I wanted to see him play . I've now watched him play twice - he has missed some simple opportunities but I also stated what I thought were positives in his play. I've not judged the guy just said he's missed some simple chances which he has. In Walshy we trust - if hes a target then fine.

How many chances does Deeney need to score out of interest mate thanks
HankMarvin Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 How many chances does Deeney need to score out of interest mate thanks 32 shots on target and 28 shots off target in 38 appearances. (Excludes 34 blocked shots) 7.2
Carl the Llama Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Being serious I think I need more time to judge his abilities, cream always rises to the top at the end of the day.
weller54 Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 How many chances does Deeney need to score out of interest mate thanks Oo,don't know... Yogurt me there!
MC Prussian Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 People judging a player they haven't seen on a regular basis after only two EURO matches. Seriously, wait until the next one and then the K.O. stages - Poland can go far this summer. He is rather one-footed, but seems to have worked on his right foot also. Milik's not the most skilled footballer, but his tenacity, physique, force and shot power make up for all of that. I think he'd fit in perfectly at Leicester in a CF role behind Vardy. His free-kicks shouldn't be underestimated, either.
Guest Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 I love fans who judge after seeing a player in 1 match.

I did say the same about Suarez as well who seemed to need a million chances to score one for Ajax. So I'm probably not the best judge Free kick taking ability doesn't matter. Mahrez thinks he's Beckham so will carry on chipping the ball over the goal or into the wall.
Tuna Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Can we stop the silly milk puns now please or just delete the thread. I'm getting really pasteured off with this.

It'd be great to have another player who's apt at scoring from set pieces - just for diversity, like.
filbertway Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Oh, it does. It'd be great to have another player who's apt at scoring from set pieces - just for diversity, like. Haha, we'll have a team of top set piece takers who are never allowed to take them.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 I haven't seen enough of Milik to judge him but he's highly rated and if Walsh etc think he's the chap to bring in, my aspect would be trusting them.
ShinjiScoregoalzaki Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 Milik failed horribly in Leverkusen and Augsburg before breaking through in Amsterdam. I'm not sure if he's ready to make the jump to the BPL yet, but it's worth a try in my opinion. During the Euros he always got into position too, scored the decisive goal in the first game, left out two huge chances against the Germans. He's got some developing to do, but why not in Leicester?
sphericalfox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 This one might be coming to a conclusion one way another. https://twitter.com/AFCAjax/status/743782587286564864/
Manc Fox Posted 18 June 2016 Posted 18 June 2016 He reminds me of dzeko, looks comfortable on the ball, not bad in the air either. Needs to work on his shooting but so did Vardy.
