bald reynard Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Watford splashing out the cash - they've spent over £20m this week on 2 strikers and a central defender - AND they've turned down a £38m bid for Ighalo. They've got to be confident of another big money bonus coming in - it's got to be us for Deeney ?
Babylon Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Watford splashing out the cash - they've spent over £20m this week on 2 strikers and a central defender - AND they've turned down a £35m bid for Ighalo. They've got to be confident of another big money bonus coming in - it's got to be us for Deeney ? Or they just have shit loads of cash like every other premier league team.

They've got to be confident of another big money bonus coming in - it's got to be us for Deeney ? AND Deeney splashing out £180k on a new Lambo and saying, he's, "treating himself" ! Smacks of him also being confident of money coming in ?
ScouseFox Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 AND Deeney splashing out £180k on a new Lambo and saying, he's, "treating himself" ! Smacks of him also being confident of money coming in ? yeah he's gonna get loads of money either way, either we sign him and he gets a massive contract and signing on fee or he uses us to make sure Watford give him a stupid amount of money. either way 180k is nothing to any footballer, let alone an in demand premier league footballer right now.
sylofox Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 AND Deeney splashing out £180k on a new Lambo and saying, he's, "treating himself" ! Smacks of him also being confident of money coming in ? Or he just spent his bonus for keeping Watford up last season. I would think he can just live on his weekly wage.
4everfox Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Signed new 5 year contract with Watford. Close thread.
aefevans Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Never had any doubt. His loyalty is comforting. We don't see enough of it in football.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Where's the links? EDIT: Just had a look on Twitter. Watford have tweeted it etc.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 He'll never play in the champions league. Time to move on
Rushden fox Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Would have been a great player for us but to be fair, Watford have done with Deeney, what We did with Vardy. Let's move on to a Brazilian.
aefevans Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 The Watford you knew with the three-sided ground and no money is dead. We can hold our own now. What a transformation.

Devonfox1884 Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 I wanted him here, but not for £30m. Fair play to him for his loyalty, although I expect a huge pay rise helped. Then again, same applies for Vardy.
lgfualol Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Thank ****. Thought the club were going to make themselves look like tits spending £30m+ on him.
VLC86 Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 The Watford you knew with the three-sided ground and no money is dead. We can hold our own now. What a transformation. You guys got 4 stands now? Congratulations from every other football team in the football league on your achievements.
Jaspa Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Fair enough he wouldve been an excellent addition, the price though all things considered was astonishing. Think we have to buy what is best for us right now and someone for the future, preferably English and thoroughly scouted. Take our time and dont rush panic, get business done.
ScouseFox Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Never had any doubt. His loyalty is comforting. We don't see enough of it in football. didn't your club just reject our offer? then we didn't put another one back in? the deal died ages ago would hardly claim he was super loyal. fighting relegation is about his level anyway. would have been horrific if we'd had him in the champions league. as I said, ulloa is better. peace out. enjoy your new stand.
Nick Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Not too sad about this - good luck to him. I'd have liked him but not for silly cash.
The whole world smiles Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 I Was happy to see loyalty existed in football when vardy turned down arsenal. I'm less happy now loyalty in football can sod off. But fair play troy and fair play Watford considering how badly they hurt us in the play offs I actually like them both a fair bit.
