Webbo Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 This'll probably be one of those threads that dies on it's arse but here goes. Have you got your own special mug that you always have your tea/coffee in and nobody else is allowed to use? I've got an oversized Spiderman mug I bought in America last year.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Yeah i've got a little mug that you couldn't piss in but I prefer it because I like me brew strong
Jimothy Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 I've got two mugs at home I use. One saying "This mug belongs to a really great uncle" that my sister bought me just after my nephew was born, the other has a City badge on. At work I've got a Leicester Champions mug, which has just replaced this one
Guest MattP Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 I have a Royal Standard or a Heisenberg mug. My mate used to have a brown mug that was a giant steaming turd curling round until the top, it made me sick looking at it.

I was thinking of starting a 'mugs' thread yesterday . I have about 5 mugs at home. Got a few preferred ones - got a big blue M&M one. A Virgin Media freebie one and one I got from friends while at uni which I still use. While we're on 'mugs', I can't stand people at work who leave theirs to dry out and stain for days, sometimes weeks. Then when you offer to make a tea/coffee for them they hand you it and ask you to wash it . fvck that. wash it yourself.
Merging Cultures Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 A lovely bone China whittard mug. Perfect size, great feel when drinking, love it.
Xen Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 A free one I got while working at Virgin Media in my placement year, and a bog-standard one from the pound-shop. Not sure why I'm possessive over either of them, but there ya go
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Yep, got two. Leicester one with a spot design, and a plain dark blue one. Either are used for coffee/tea. Often sit down with a nice cuppa.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Had this one from Mother at start of season. aww, that's cute

pSinatra Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 I haven't got my own mug but I've got 2 sets of mugs & I use one - the missus uses the other. They're both from John Lewis, but I just don't like drinking out of one set. She thinks I'm mad, but she knows not to use 'my' mugs.
rico Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 My home mug is a Clockwork Orange one that i got from HMV ,my work mug is an LCFC one from the 90's
Xen Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 . not gonna lie mine says 'hello hot stuff' so i had to take it. what's yours say? Haha, not quite as humorous as yours . It literally just says 'Sparkle' on it, which was the internal achievement/recognition scheme thingy for my department.
Beliall Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Yeah, had a huge cup for my coffee but the dog broke it, replaced it with this
Buce Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Hell, yeah. I'm practically autistic about it. Mine is Bone China, perfect size and shape, beautifully patterned - and it was a birthday gift chosen by my daughter.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Had this one from Mother at start of season. Christ, if you filled that with 'sake' you'd be blasted!
Alf Bentley Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 I have my own tea mug AND my own coffee mug. Not only is nobody else allowed to use either mug, but I'm not allowed to use my tea mug for coffee or my coffee mug for tea. I've had the coffee mug for over 20 years and have never drunk tea from it. It's a squat little mug, mainly dark brown, with a narrow brim so that the coffee stays hot. I bought it on a weekend away at Ironbridge Gorge soon after I started going out with my now Missus of 14 years. I expect to shed tears if that mug doesn't outlast me. In contrast, my tea mug is tall with a wide brim, as I chain-drink tea and don't mind if it gets lukewarm. It has brightly-coloured thick vertical stripes, which cheers my mood up. It's actually the 3rd identical mug, spanning about 10 years, as I've broken it a couple of times. They cost a fiver from the Co-op on last replacement, but Tea Mug III has lasted for at least 5 years now, so the price might have gone up.......or they might no longer be stocked at the Co-op. Please PM me if you require any further details regarding my mugs.
ozleicester Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Two... one for morning through daytime use, the other for evening, night time use. Both are Leicester mugs the 2nd bought last Christmas before the Chelsea home game
Carl the Llama Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 Actually no; I swapped my mug with a comatose terrorist hoping to use his appearance to trick his colleague into revealing the location of a bomb they'd planted but the terrorist awoke from his coma before I was expecting him to and now he's using my mug to become the director of the FBI. I suppose you could say I've been mugged off.
Vacamion Posted 17 June 2016 Posted 17 June 2016 I have spearate tea mugs, coffee mugs and soup mugs. I never put the "wrong" drink in the "wrong" mug. Maybe I need to lighten up and live a little.
