Very good signing if it happens. Huth and Morgan ageing. Hernandez and Keane offer steel but also ball-playing ability which seems to be crucial in the modern game for a centre back.

It about development, we obviously saw the raw talent. But if we'd signed him, we might not have been able to offer the games to enable him to develop in the manner he has. He's played a large number of games for someone his age... we can barely offer our best u21 talent a game.

Can't help but think that if we missed signing him for a couple of million and then now sign him for 17M then that's a pretty big miss on our recruiting department. I think Walsh should be held responsible and should probably move no for that....

...I'm joking of course. Please don't leave Steve! We love you at Leiceter, much as my housemate from uni loved you as his teacher at school in Preston!

Mate I have nothing to prove to anyone.

I brought it here when Leicester chose CR last year and posted inler is being allowed to leave last month.

I don't know it all but when I find things out I'll let you know.

As I stated on June 24th Kante will be staying at least another year and the Keane deal will be finalised next week as I stated earlier.

Hope this helps

Looks like you're definitely wrong on one and I rather hoped it would be Keane - but it isn't !

Media sources from as wide as Burnley and Leicester are reporting Burnley's former Manchester United starlet Michael Keane has declined an offer which would have made him the highest paid Clarets' player of all time.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has already tabled an offer for Keane, believed to be in the region of £11.5 million pounds. The player is well known to Leicester City, having already spent six months on loan with the Foxes during the 2012-13 season.

The Clarets have announced a determination to keep hold of their promotion winning and hugely impressive 23 year old central defender. Keane is widely regarded in knowledgeable footballing circles as a potential England centre back.

It is understood the prospect of Champions' League football with Leicester is the reasoning behind Keane's rejection of a new deal at Turf Moor. This could be construed as a clear indication that he would like to speak with Leicester City.

Steve Walsh the former Foxes centre half and current Recruitment Manager at the King Power Stadium sees Keane as the long term replacement for Leicester pairing Robert Huth and Wes Morgan.

Leicester are in the process of strengthening their squad for the battle to retain their Premier League title. The Foxes have already added Ron-Robert Zieler, Luis Hernandez and Nampalys Mendy to their player roster.

It looks for all the world that Nigerian international Ahmed Musa, currently plying his trade with CSKA Moscow and Burnley's Michael Keane could well be added to the Foxes squad very soon. (TEC).

When will they learn?

lol It's not even that difficult!

I wonder if these same idiots say, 'Paul Robinson, Ex-England Keeper and West Brom full back...'.

We are shite at this negotiating business. Selling Kante for £30m and buying Keane for £15m. Unbelievable.

Leicester to make renewed bids for Brady and Keane

Leicester will use cash from N’Golo Kante’s £30million sale to Chelsea to increase bids for Robbie Brady and Michael Keane.

The champions are reeling after Kante turned down a new £100,000-a-week deal at the King Power Stadium to defect to Chelsea, who aren’t in the Champions League.

But City boss Claudio Ranieri has insisted he will not stand in the way of players who are determined to quit.

He has already bought Nampalys Mendy from Nice, who will play in a midfield holding role after a switch for around £12million.

Ranieri gave Mendy his breakthrough as a youngster at Monaco and rates the midfielder highly.

Now Ranieri wants to increase bids for Burnley centre-back Keane and Norwich’sRepublic of Ireland winger Brady after City’s initial offers were rebuffed.

probably get out pants pulled down even more now clubs know we have Kante cash

How depressing would that be, sell Kante and spend EXTRA on Keane and Brady!

Only Leicester City would be able to do that!

I saw a list of Leicester's wages for the regular first-teamers and fringe players in The Sun a couple of days ago and two or three of them like Drinkwater, Albrighton, King were on relatively low wages.

It will be odd that Keane will almost certainly be getting higher wages than some first-teamers when he is going to be a reserve. He turned down Burnley's new offer of £40k-a-week  so he will be getting at least that and probably more with The Foxes.

Would that be the one replying to you telling people that their posts were "absolutely rubbish" and insinuating racism. Get your own house in order first, if you are going to abuse peoples posts because they happen to know a bit more on the subject than you do, then expect it back in return.

"just goes to show what happens when someone spouts rubbish like this"

"So are you seriously suggesting that the club deliberately aims to recruit British players ? what utter rubbish."

I know you're upset I made you look a bit silly by providing actual facts and quotes, but that's your issue not mine. I'm quite capable of looking after myself on here, I don't need "guard dogs" perhaps they are people who have read the whole thread and seen that you don't know what you're talking about.
