Keane and Brady in would actually make the schulpp sale to west brom bearable. However we do need more academy graduates.

No it wouldn't.  Schlupp is a better player than Brady.

I did say Keane too.

Schlupp is good yeah but will be away on AFCON and isn't as versatile as Brady.

Brady is the worst of the Bunch.

Disagree. If he's being signed as a LB, then I'd agree. But I think we could mould him into a great box to box cm. He has all the tools to be a good cm for us, quick, tenacious, strong in the tackle, range of passing, etc so I think he's a player that 'fits' in with our style of play.

he'd pretty much be like a left footed drinky.

Do you seriously think a player that has played LB, LM, LW, ST, RM, RW is less versatile than Robby Brady? Is this a joke?

Everton  now in for him. How predictable.

Not sure Everton fans will be in raptures about that. Is he a replacement for stones?

I'm going to get really fcuked off having to see our fans get so worked up because Everton go in for any player we've been linked with.

just because Walsh has gone doesn't prevent us from signing players we've scouted nor will we be clueless as to who Walsh was tracking for us. Stop being so petty.

Everton were linked to Keane prior to this, we still want him and this is perfect for the press to pick up on. It makes a nice story.

Chill out.

Suspect your requests will go unanswered ric.

fwiw, I agree with you.

the only issue would be whether Walsh was double dealing on this and letting burnley know they should hold out as Everton will be prepared to pay more than Leicester for him.

If that's the sort of man he is then fcuk him. The one thing we've got over Everton and pretty much every team in the league is we already have the team, the foundations and the extraordinary team spirit in place. Teams are playing catch up, they're going in with hope and blind faith that lots of new signings will suddenly put them on a par with us. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But we haven't suddenly become a weak team this summer. We've lost a huge player in Kante whom if he was the difference between mediocrity and untold success then we might as well wind the club up as there's no direct replacement for N'Golo.

It won't be that at all, Mendy will adapt well to this league and with our key new signings in Musa and Hernandez and competition for Kasper we look quietly ruthless once more. Let the press brown nose the supposed big clubs and let the likes of West Ham and Everton rinse loads of bunce but they face an unbelievable task in replicating what we've got.

We will bring in 1 or 2 more and we'll have a right good go again in all competitions. We are on a once in a lifetime journey it feels but who knows, several years of this and we could cement ourselves for quite some time. I'm not usually one for positivity with Leicester but I'm devoid of any panic right now. Which in itself is the important thing, when the Champions League music blares out in a few months the jealousy and insecurity of many supposed bigger clubs will be rife and good. They can all fcuk off.

  • I very much agree with you. FT becoming a hard read with constant references to Everton now in addition to the latest pariah Rudkin. Throw in medicals and Morrisons and I'm glad I'm on holiday next week away from the wifi :D

Absolutely this.

Pundits were lauding us for socking it to the big boys. The team spirit was phenomenal and we sprinkled it with stardust in the form of Vardy, Mahrez and Kanté.

But then, listening to the Monday Night Club on 5 Live, Charlie Adam says if he were Mahrez he'd definitely jump ship for Arsenal or another one of the big boys. Leicester won't be relegated but we won't be anywhere in the title race because all the big boys have spent loads on new signings. WHAT?!

I'll just refer him to last season when team spirit and the right mix of personalities and talent won the league. Yes we have more irons in the fire this season with the Champions League and fans will want to see us make a better fist of it in the FA Cup. But we already have a deeper squad and the likes of Chilwell and Choudhury could get more game time in the cups and the league, and we have Matty James back who looked to be more in favour than Drinkwater before the injury.

We can do it again and show all of them up once more. To link it back to the actual subject of the thread, I think Keane is more than capable of becoming a part of that successful squad.

Hate the fact everyone thinks the big clubs will definitely be up there due to the fact they are spending money.

Man city spent 160 million last summer and we still did them 3-1 at their place.

I was speaking to a Burnley fan today who is on top their comings and goings. He thinks that if Burley secure targets they are after - particularly Lees from Sheffield Wed - they will let Keane go to another club. However, whether that's to Everton (who were interested in him in January), or City, that's another matter

When you see that Mario Gotze just joined Dortmund for £22m it just shows how ridiculous the prices of English players are!

I think they had a buy back clause.
