Arsene reported as conceding Vardy is staying put

After the Dail Mail reporting that the LC Owners said they felt Vardy was going to be staying it has been reported today that Arsene Wenger has confirmed Vardy is remaining at LC. Just the other 10 targets to sort out now.

 He's not confirmed anything, he's just said he thinks he'll stay. Its also already discussed in the transfer thread, furthermore Arsene is a devious old bugger and it's most likely more mind games.

It would be a great boost for us, but still feel we need two strikers if he stays.

I hope he stays, but I wish he'd make his mind up.

I respect it's a massive decision for him, but it's unfair on LCFC to keep them in limbo this long.

We start our season in just 34 days time.

Is the situation putting off potential players signing for us? And what about our other current players waiting to know, so they have the perfect excuse to leave too?

The situation needs sorting. Now.

Hi this is Jamie Vardy. Please leave a message after the tone.

Why is it when there's a story that JV might be leaving, 100+ pages and its the end of the world; yet quote a strong statement from Wenger saying he thinks he's staying with us and it is dismissed as mind games and a nothing.

It's because it's not a negative or drama queen material I guess?

It's not absolutely confirmed yet-

Isn't that the 'ITK' oik who claimed Vardy would make a decision before 11.30am when England flew out? When that turned out not to be the case his still claimed Vardy would make his decision the same day? Again turned out not to be the case.

I'll take anything he says with a pinch of salt.

Had a feeling that this was a bit of a panic by Wenger and the longer he's had to dwell on it the more he's hoping it doesn't go through. When has Wenger ever wanted to offer a 29 year old a 4 year contract? These latest comments appear to be from someone who might be getting cold feet.

Then again he's lied through his teeth before about transfers so who really knows.

I want Vardy to stay and the shenanigans of Wenger just go to prove how worthless player's contracts are.

I wish Vardy had said before he went off to the Euros that he wanted to stay it would have saved a lot of anguish and put the issue to bed so he could properly concentrate on this tournament.

He IS just concentrating on the euros. What anguish is he creating..!! ..?

Its his right to have time to think, on the offers from both LCFC and Arsenal..

That why we live in a free society...no thanks to your ideology

Whilst I totally agree and respect Vardy taking his time to make the right decision for him, he should also realize he is being unfair on LCFC by making them wait so long, especially with our season starting in just 33 days time.

It may not be crating anguish, but it does create uncertainty. It could easily have an effect on players coming to, or leaving the club.

i hope arsene also concedes that the  foxes are not arsenals feeder club for him to pick and choose who he wants from us

Jamie Vardy is staying quiet on his club future

Jamie Vardy is yet to make up his mind about a summer move to Arsenal, and could still move to the Emirates, Sky sources understand.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told Chinese television that he believes Vardy is staying at Leicester.

Wenger said: "Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester."

Arsenal told Leicester three weeks ago they are prepared to meet the £20m buy-out clause in Vardy's contract, and Leicester responded by offering the striker improved terms.

Sky Sports News HQ understands that Vardy wants to focus entirely on England while they are in Euro 2016, and will delay making a decision about his domestic future until he returns home.

On Saturday, speaking at England's 2016 training base at Chantilly, Vardy insisted he was not thinking about his club future.

"I'm just here completely focusing on England and that's all I want to do at the moment," said the 29-year-old.

"We're here to represent England and that's all I want to think about."
