He had a release clause and when that was met he was allowed to listen to offers...thats just life and business. To be honest Im glad he did it this way...Arsholes possibly missed other targets in this persuit. Vardy is one of the worlds most talked about footballers right now and turning down Arsholes to stay here sends out a great message to the rest if the footballing world. Those fans are quite frankly, morons and have no idea of the world.Plus denying within themselves the 'Right of everyman to shop around and look what options are there' Seem like groups of losers!!! Why the Vardy descision..IMO 1. HE probably didnt want to leave, but just wanted the option 2. The owners, have contacted and spoke to him. 3. Vardy told his agent what offer he would be content with, from Leicester. 4. Private words with teammates, including...King/Mahrez/Kante/Fuchs for different reasons 5. Decided no matter what Kante/Mahrez will do. 6. Knows at Arsenal or even another top team, after 6 months no 1st choice guarrantee. Future just in the stands, not near the bench, or end up back at fleetwood..!! 7. 4 year contract seals his peak and rest years.Plus at city if he finishes fit, might get easy 1-3 year wind down seasons, allowing him to go on until he is 36-37yrs old. Well done lad, and goodluck to you and family, hoping obviuosly it works for you and our club. Now go out and confirm your right to be considered legend status, your 80% there.. If Watford can turn down £30m because they want to keep Deeney, against his wishes or not, then surely we can do the same with Mahrez who does not have a release clause.
