StanSP Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 How can Vardy be accused of greed by staying with us despite Arssnal offering him substantially more money?!
AoWW Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 How can Vardy be accused of greed by staying with us despite Arssnal offering him substantially more money?! See, there's just far too much logic in that statement.
Bayfox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 How can Vardy be accused of greed by staying with us despite Arssnal offering him substantially more money?! Because he signed a new deal 4 months ago and now isn't happy with it? Some people will see the fact he asked for a CL release clause at a time when we were almost nailed on for top 4 as either Vardy or His agent playing the club. For the record that's not my view, just playing devils advocate.
johnny the fox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Apologies from abusive fans. form an orderly queue here please... then let the grovelling begin..
HankMarvin Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 For Vardy, it is a second new contract in five months, having signed up until 2019 back in February on wages worth £80,000 per week. The release clause, attainable to any interested party in the Champions League, was inserted as a compromise due to Vardy receiving less than the six-figure weekly deal generally brought home by the Premier League’s elite forwar
ThaiFox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 As already stated, that England performance the other night must have helped make up his mind. It was a classic example of what he'd get playing at Arsenal. No service and a lot of turgid, sideways football. Here, the team play to his strengths, and the team is set up to his strengths. It's good news, almost like a new signing, and hopefully it sends a HUGE message out to the so called big clubs that they can't just cherry pick players for our size of club (although I'm sure we'll be cherry picking players from smaller clubs than us!). I also hope it sends a message to the other players thinking of leaving too.
Hitesh Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Fair play to Vardy, I was disappointed in him when it was mentioned he was in talks with them and claimed there was no loyalty in football anymore - this just shows there is and I know the money is similar but the stature of the clubs are different and he's chosen to stay here. Sends a big message out to the big clubs that they cant just throw money at these players anymore
foxfanazer Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 To all of you slagging him and his missus off a few weeks ago hang your heads in shame.
ScouseFox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 so we can abuse his bird and not face any consequences now geeeeeddiiiiin
the_tank Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Good result.. my 5 year olds Vardy poster stays on the wall
Sammy Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Absolutely buzzing about Vardy, sends a right message to Mahrez and Kante too!
Spiritwalker Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Great news, congratulations Jamie and would you send my love to your lovely wife.
Fox92 Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Hope all you lot that called him horrific names are satisfied with this.
justfoxes Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Great news now for mahrez and Kate to do the same !!
David Hankey Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Just show the 'Gooners' don't get it all their own way. The thing is if Deeney's worth £25M Vardy must be approaching double that.
norwichfox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 It's not my birthday 'till Saturday, but this'll do fine for a prezzie, I'm over the moon
lifted*fox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 This was never in doubt in my mind tbh - ever since seeing him and Drinky doing that 'know your teammate' thing for the England promo. They clearly love each other and Drinky would have been gutted to see him go I reckon.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 I agree with Babylon. Potentially this is bigger than just the player re-signing. It sends out a message to other clubs and players that we will not be broken up easily.
PatrykJ14 Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Great news this morning Jamieeee. Can`t wait game against Arsenal
filbertway Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 When it's officially confirmed I reckon everyone that dished out unnecessary abuse should get a 2 month ban from posting.
