suffolk fox Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 Stan was ok sorry to see him go. Adrian Durham however, total different story.
Tielemans63 Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 Total respect for Colin Murray. Good on him for sticking to his principles. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Dan Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 Just seen this from Stan Collymore: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sot466
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 What tempted you to join TalkSport, Geoff? Back in 1999 (when it was initially called talkRADIO) I was asked to cover some games for them. As a freelance wanting to progress my career it was a no-brainer really.
Adster Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 All of them?????????????? No offence taken... Wow. I forgot you worked for them!!You're the only good one, Geoff....
Dan Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 I don't mind Talksport. There's a fair bit of shit on there I've no doubt but it isn't as bad as it's made out to be. I've done a complete u-turn on Durham, I think he knows his stuff although you've got to be wary for him being on the wind-up, rate Gough as well.

Once you realise that Durham is a grade A professional troll, he can be quite amusing, to be honest.
Tuna Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 Being on the road all day, TalkSPORT gets me though it...loved Murray's show and all the gimmicks.
Dan Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 Once you realise that Durham is a grade A professional troll, he can be quite amusing, to be honest. Yeah fully agree. I think he often makes some very valid points too. Do think he talks shite every now and then but don't we all.

As a freelance wanting to progress my career it was a no-brainer really. Just a question, but Collin Murray allways suggested to me he was a freelance, went to see the fighting talk live at the Britania a few years ago and he didn't really to give a .....well you know!Great couple of hours though!
aussie-fox Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 Am I the only one who thinks "the two Mike's" is the greatest radio show ever?

I would imagine he's on some form of freelance contract. Am I the only one who thinks "the two Mike's" is the greatest radio show ever? Mike Graham is a very good broadcaster. I'll leave it at that
ramboacdc Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 Ok that's cool I'm sure your toe nails are very honourable too haha. i was very tired yesterday and just didnt twig this. i hadn't saw his statement and thought he had been sacked. i should learn to do my research first!!!
foxy boxing Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 no doubt that now it has teamed up with news corp we will get a a load of propaganda and pro murdoch sentiment.well done colin murray for staying principled i wonder if adrian durham can say the same because he always has a lot to say
ozleicester Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 respect to anyone who takes a stand against Murdoch and his scum
Finnaldo Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 TalkSport has t good and bad points for me, prefer to listen to music in the car but depending who's on I wouldn't turn it off, anyone complaining that there's a lot of shite spouted on there need to realise that they've posted that on Foxestalk.
Wortho Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 I would prefer Talkshite to Radio 5 "live". There are some tw*ts on there like Quinn and Alvin Martin, but presenters like H and J are pretty good.
Fox92 Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 I would prefer Talkshite to Radio 5 "live". There are some tw*ts on there like Quinn and Alvin Martin, but presenters like H and J are pretty good. 5 Live is brilliant listen when driving back from games on a Saturday. Fletcher and Savage are superb.
Fox92 Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 Savage is a melt we all know it Funny though - especially when a Villa fan rings in.
Nick Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 We need a new sports radio station - one with a bit of intelligence and integrity. I've no interest in persevering with Talksport now it's going to sell out to this group. The adverts alone are so patronising they seem to think their listeners are all imbeciles.
RonnieTodger Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 Fair play Colin Murray. Shame as he was the only one I listened to regularly on TalkSport. Darren Gough talking about football as if he's a pundit is bizarre.
geodude Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 Did anyone hear ray Wilkins on the England euro 2016 inquest show the other week? It was cringeworthy to say the least. If anyone has 2 hours spare time then listen to this podcast. He is clearly drunk. He keeps butting in when others try to speak and is extremely forthright with his views. He also didn't take the other guys views on board at all, and basically ridiculed anyone who didn't have the same view as him! He even says Stan collymore shouldnt really have a view on England as he never played at that level. He says other ridiculous things as well such as he thinks Paul Scholes should have come out of retirement and gone to the euros as a player In the end he gets cut off the show, he even starts the show late and had to apologise for being late. http://talksport.com/football/euro-2016-podcast-england-inquest-adrian-durham-ray-wilkins-jim-proudfoot-and-nigel That's the podcast and a few days following this show its in the news that he got pulled over by police for drink driving. He's obviously got a drink problem
geodude Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 Re Colin Murray, doesn't Murdoch have a significant stake in bskyB? And sky and talksport are partners and regularly advertise sky sports on there. Think the whole Murdoch /the sun hate has gone too far now. It was years and years ago and they have apologised since. I doubt Colin Murray would turn down being a sky presenter, nor do Liverpool fans refuse to watch sky sports. Whole thing is bizarre tbh. He was probably considering leaving anyway. Also this news group /murdoch owns the times too. Do Liverpool fans not buy the times too? As it's the same company?
separator Posted 14 July 2016 Posted 14 July 2016 5 Live is brilliant listen when driving back from games on a Saturday. Fletcher and Savage are superb. Agreed, think Fletcher has left 606 for next season though which is a shame if true.
