Matt Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Newsflash my friend. Most players move on for monetary reasons. Andy King is still with us because no big club has come in for him. He's not with us due to sheer loyalty. Villa came in for him a few years ago didn't they? Don't get me wrong, they're not a big club (anymore, the once were), but we were in the Championship (Possibly even League One) when they were sniffing around him and it was pre-relegation battle every season for Villa, so could have been argued he'd earn alot more money there and jump to the Premier League, point i'm making is he turned them down from what I believe.
foxfanazer Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Thanks for helping us win the league but I wish you no luck at all. Be brilliant to see him flop at Chelsea and Swansea or someone sign him in a couple of years
True Blue Fox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I think it would have softened the blow abit, if had he gone for more money to me. That's another thing that sickens me. £32m? When Sterling Tom Daley goes for £50m? Pogba is worth £100m? Kante is worth atleast £60 - £70m in comparison. I know it means nothing to us - It's not our money, but even so. The world of Football transfers has gone crazy, expect for Leicester, get any of our players you want for knock down prices! Exactly right look at Watford turned us down twice we just keep saying yes sure cause you can and bend over. Where was the fight to keep him why are we accepting it and not saying no and mean NO same as Watford have done.
katieakita Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Not angry but find the departure disappointing, really poorly handled on his side and it comes across solely as money, he has gone from being almost unheard of in France to a Premier league winner and French international in 12 months, seen his wage increase from 5k to 30ish and turned down 100k a week pay deal after just 1 season. Comes across as just ungrateful and the press could just as easily change from leaving little Leicester for "bigger Chelsea" to pure greed and what is wrong with football. We move on though and thank the guy for his football but question his conduct. Probably he was only ever going to be here for 1 season, same as Cambiasso but their departures are complete opposites one left with a goal and bow and a standing ovation and remembered for all the right reasons the other has buggered off like a thief in the night and will have his image tarnished for the wrong reasons.

Surely the negotiators at the club aren't that stupid to let him go for so low if there wasn't one. But winds me up that our players even have release clause's. Release Clauses are there for players and agents alike to engineer moves such as this.

(Unless it have been photoshopped, but I doubt it) But what if he insisted on a release clause? Would you have said no? Even though it meant helping us to win the league and make an almighty profit?
Countryfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 His dream move to a club with great players he says ... What a @@@@
weller54 Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Fast forward... 18th July 2017.. Breaking news : Chelsea agree fee of £36m for Leicester City midfielder Papy Mendy.. You read it here first!
weller54 Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 His dream move to a club with great players he says ... What a @@@@ ..that we took Four points from last season.. C**t!!!!
Raw Dykes Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 It's not even been photoshopped Are you sure? Looks photoshopped to me. The text and the cross look like they're on a different plane to the wall. They should get smaller towards the right hand side.

I don't think currently he is worth much more than £40m. He has only had one top season. You can't really compare everything with Sterling just because he has been a flop. Maybe a comparison with Kevin De Bruyne for a similar price to Sterling would be better.
Munshi Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 It'll make beating Chelsea all the more sweeter I guess

They should get smaller towards the right hand side. I'm sure we'll soon know for definite. We've just got to move on now. We have no other choice. (this point not a reply to Raw Dykes)
Raw Dykes Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Pretty sure it's shopped. This is it adjusted for perspective. Note how the text gets much blurrier and stretched out on the right hand side. The cross looks weird, as well.
Guest Cujek Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 What a surprise some French **** gives up and retreats else where
Jace Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 O Mendy You came and we sold Kante to Chelsea Yes they took him away O Mendy.. Can't see it being the new Will Griggs on fire but I like it
Drygon Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Newsflash my friend. Most players move on for monetary reasons. Andy King is still with us because no big club has come in for him. He's not with us due to sheer loyalty. If that's the case, they Vardy would've surely moved to Arsenal (and let's be honest, they're a bigger club then Foxes)...

The cross looks weird, as well. Certainly looks it. He was a major part of us winning the Premiership so I hope no idiot does decide deface his face.
los dedos Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Just trying to get my head round this "one of the biggest clubs in Europe"quote.Does he really think that.I mean Man u,Arsenal,Liverpool and maybe Man City and Spurs bigger in this country alone.
st albans fox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 There was something very wrong at Chelsea last season. that dressing room was disfunctional. The polar opposite of what NG had here. No guarantee that an autocrat like conte will sort it out either. They could have another poor season by their standards. however, if conte is the answer, they could win the league by ten points! Time will tell as ever.

Spot on mate also we hear nothing from the club or even CR we the fans are last to know anything and have to accept it even though we really can't offer any player any more than we have. I mean 100k a week CL football this season properly loved by the fans playing in a proper team guaranteed to be in the team. I can't remember ever hearing so many of our players being linked with one club or another even down to Steve Walsh WTF does anyone want to leave and break whats was achieved last season is really beyond me even trying not to be biased on my thoughts. Can't wait till the transfer window closes
