DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Very sad at his decision to leave. Had we not signed him, he would probably be ambiguous, somewhere else in Europe. I think he owed us some loyalty for enhancing his career, but thank him for helping us to be champions. However, I do not wish him well at Chelsea.

Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I still love him. I don't agree that he embodies everything wrong with football at all. He is a quiet and unassuming lad off the pitch; a consummate professional who rarely speaks to the media and manages to stay out of the limelight, and he seems to be very modest and personable. On the pitch, he gives everything he can and matches his unbelievable talent with exactly the desire and measured aggression that fans demand. He did everything that he was asked to, helped us win the league, and has left for a massive London team who have a long history of success. We've made a huge profit from him too. I honestly can't fault the bloke. I can understand why people feel let down, but I don't think he's done anything wrong. I personally am excited to see how we adapt our game without him.
AyewJoking Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 its a joke he ended up at chelsea but i will love you forever n'golo. i wish you every success for the rest of your career. Chelsea, you have just signed the best midfielder in the league.
MattCan Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Brill Didn't Lineker himself leave Leicester at some point?
Countryfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Didn't Lineker himself leave Leicester at some point? Yes he did ... After he told me he wasn't outside the bog at Caspers .... Lying git.

Think we will disagree on that one Cambiasso was a consummate professional on and off the pitch. He did not have to take a bow at his final game at the KP but said his goodbyes. It would it have been that hard for Kante to say thank you to the club and fans for plucking him from the French backwaters to being a multi millionaire within 12 months of course you don't have to say please and thank you but it is polite. Also Chelsea and a long history of success you do realise football was not invented by sky in 1992.
glen parva fox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Heard the Thai Monks have cursed him and any team he now plays for!!
Countryfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Heard the Thai Monks have cursed him and any team he now plays for!! Can't they send a David Carradine type character to give him a right kicking ....

He was too good to not be noticed for the rest of his career regardless of where he was. Pretty sure Real Madrid had already watched him before we signed him
Nalis Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Chelsea fan comes on here with some respectful comments and gets unfairly slated. Not even surprised sadly.
Finnegan Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Chelsea fan comes on here with some respectful comments and gets unfairly slated. Not even surprised sadly. We've just lost our best player to a divisional rival having just won the league and a fan of that club turns up to be condescending. It's just sugar coated trolling. What was he expecting?

KFS Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Thought I was over this but I'm scrolling down the SSN transfer feed reading all the London journalists getting wet and it's making me angry. Hope we can continue to build and keep sticking two fingers up to the establishment.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I'm just looking forward to Chelsea losing one if their key players - so I can write something equally condescending on their forums. I'm sure they'll take it in fine spirit
Ozwin Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I firmly believe Kante's representatives have made this decision for him. I don't think he quite knows how he's being made to appear in the public eye. He doesn't strike me as the sort of person to want to offend others in the way this transfer seemingly has. Said it before but it would not surprise me one bit if Adidas have played a major role in this, they're obviously in control of his Twitter page for starters and they didn't so much as gave a drip of piss interest in Leicester City since its been running.

Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 This 100% Adidas wouldn't want as anything associated with Puma as images. Bitter fraternal rivalry.
katieakita Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Think the Chelsea fan lost a bit of respect when he couldn't understand why a player had left them for Real Madrid tbh

Dr The Singh Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 150k pw for 5 years makes me think he hasn't been forced into anything against his will.Agreed, Kante knew what he was doing and signing up for......a deal of a lifetime. BTW it's £150k tax free
shen Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 150k pw for 5 years makes me think he hasn't been forced into anything against his will. We should've matched that offer. We had the best midfielder in the Prem and we let him go for another 50k pw?
Wymsey Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I wouldn't boo him if he plays against us, though most on this thread are very likely to. He's done immense with us, and made his mind up based on what 100,000's of footballers do; just wrong timing and no 'Thank You'-type ending happened that had somewhat caused a stir.

Chelsea aren't massive, they're just filthy rich, and they haven't a long history of success at all. Kante's reason for leaving - seduced by a speech by Conte - seems incredibly naive if it is to be believed. However, now i'm getting over the disappointment i am, like you, looking forward to seeing how we cope with this and any other departures.
