I agree that he looked slow, but he could have been as fast as humanly possible and he'd have had a really hard time saving it.

Fair enough then . As an aside, it was good to see him gather the players to go and see the travelling fans at the end of the match

The most interesting thing for me in that game was watching Mendy and Chilwell.

Mendy is clearly a good player but I don't think we will be able to play 442 at the highest level without Kante. Mendy looks like he would excel with 1 more player in there who is attack minded alongside Drinky and himself.

Also it says a lot that when Fuchs came on he was put at left mid and not at left back. Chilly is the real deal.

You base those assumptions on only our 2nd pre season game? I beg to differ as I personally saw a damn site more positives than negatives!

I wouldn't make any rash judgements or sweeping statements just yet!

Impressed with Chilwell. For such a young lad he has a lot of composure and intelligence. Will be a good option in future and he'll command a decent sum if he disappears.

Are we the Champions of the Champions or could we be the Champions of the Champions of the Champions after the next game and if we win that game would we be the Champions of the Champions of the Champions of the Champions if we beat Barcelona ?

Well that was interesting...

My Scottish team is Partick Thistle and Mrs Vac is a Current Bun, so neither of us were comfortable being in amongst Celtic fans.

It was a weird and unpleasant sitting stoney faced whilst they all Poznaned around us.

From what I saw,  Mahrez was different gravy.  Utterly sublime. He got great applause from all round the ground when he went off.

The new lads look like they just need to get used to how we play.

Drinky worked hard. Leo and then Shinji both worked hard at that pestering thing that Vardy does so well.

Chilwell looked good, like he will push Fuchs for a place this season.

I got a good view of the equaliser, and I'm not sure Kaspar can be blamed, it was a good shot.

I'm afraid I could hardly hear anything from the City fans most of the game.

We appear to have emerged from the East End of Glasgow without communicable diseases, no half and half scarves were purchased, and we won the penos, so all in all, to quote Ice Cube, today was a good day.

:D

Marginally less tragic than that trophy Burnley got for finishing second the season we went up

They look delighted! :crylaugh:

Nah good game for a friendly, think we edged it, should have won in the 90, but I was very impressed.

Be fair; the guy on the right looks a bit simple.

I cant be the only one to think a attacking midfielder would make us look so much better going forward instead of a second striker.

would that attacking midfielder make the runs that okazaki does though? His runs occupy one or two defenders at a time when we break, giving Vardy & Mahrez more space.

True but it would allow us to play through the middle with mendy's and drinkwaters passing and could have Mahrez and musa further up.

Hey all,

Just got back from the game and I have to say that I thought that was the best atmosphere I have seen from any club, home or away.

I unfortunately had to buy a ticket in the Celtic end because they wouldn't let us sell tickets on the gate or sell e-tickets (which they do for the home end). So I was in the home end behind the goal in between our fans and their standing section.

We were well and truly outsung from start to finish to the point our fans seemed to stop trying all together (and that is something I cannot remember happening since the bad old champo days)

Also every Celtic fan I met was friendly but that might just be luck!
