StanSP Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 you'd expect someone who's handled so many big matches i.e. finals at both club and international level, European and worldwide competitions, could get a decision like the Musa one correct.
ousefox Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Usually very very good. Shocking today. I reckon that penalty shout was too similar to the united one he gave us and brought back bad memories!

funkyrobot Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Clattenburg was MOTM for The Arse today. Absolutely the best player on their team. He gets a lot of stick but Wenger should get some plaudits for this signing.
BigWesMorgan Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Wouldn't complain. Best referee in the league.
midland_red Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 The Mail's man noticed what I did - that Clattenburg's instinct was to reach for another card for coqeqlin - he then though better of it. He should have trusted his first instinct, which is usually the correct one. He certainly had a dire match - TBF we all have them, and over the course of a season those decisions will even out. "Clattenburg didn't endear himself to Leicester fans again when the already-booked Coquelin clattered into Mahrez on the edge of the penalty area but escaped without a second yellow, after the referee may have gone to his pocket."

potter3 Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Don't think he was bad otherwise but he obviously got two big decisions wrong - Coquelin & Musa.
Tuna Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 He Fcucked Palace out of the FA Cup final as well with his gross incompetence.

Guest Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 At least arsenal fans now know where wenger spent all the transfer funds. good signing i reckon.

KingKante Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Should probably be stripped of his job after today
TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 He had a poor game, he'll probably look back on it and think the same. You could visibly see he was frustrated with some of his decision making in terms of his positioning etc. He's still our countries best referee and I'd much prefer to see his name as ref for our next game than any others in the league.
Raj Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Rate the way he talks to the players and is normally really good. Looking back on the musa pen though it's a defo pen. We all make mistakes though...must be hard to see at real speed so will defend him abit!!!!!

whoareyaaa Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 Its a disgrace an official of his pedigree could get two big decisions wrong. It's cost us 2 points they could be vital at the end of the season, it it was the other way then he gives it straight away. should have took another week off clearly not up to speed, don't trust the officials one bit.
chili_con_carne Posted 20 August 2016 Posted 20 August 2016 If you watch the musa penalty shout in slow motion, I don't actually think it's a penalty. Musa changes direction in his run to move in front of bellerin and then cleverly tangles his legs with bellerin. Doubt many will agree but its what I would call a typical vardy penalty. I'm sure they have been working on it in training.
