Looks a talent, but another winger?

What wing does he play? Perhaps a replacement for Schlupp when he moves on.

On the right whenever I've seen them.

Tbh I think Ranieri really wants to play Mahrez centrally it just hasn't consistently worked yet.

Seen a few reports saying most premier league clubs are monitoring him, guess with him being a Melton lad we have location in our favour if he doesn't want to be uprooted at this age.

But you would think he would be letting 1st team football go for a place in our u23 side.

I suppose we could loan him back tho.

He's 19. Won't play immediately but you can see why the club/Ranieri want to make this kind of signing.

to loan back, its good to make these smalls moves in the background. Shows we are growing as a club.

I think I read somewhere Mahrez saying he prefers to play centrally.

Seen him play against Burton and in Forest's highlights and he looks the absolute dogs.

Get him and loan him back. Suits both parties.

A front four of;

Musa

Gray Kapustka Burke

That could be our attack for years.

Mahrez has always seemed quite one footed to me, by that I mean he's god a cracking right foot but does not seem to like using it to much.

whenever he's in the centre he's always trying to take the ball onto his left boot, which is fine as it's his stronger foot, but playing centrally I think he would need to work on shifting to his right a bit more.

Looks much more comfortable coming from the right into the centre on his left peg, not as confident coming from the left to the centre.
