thursday_next Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Sorry about that, mods. I was trying to follow the Porto fans post in the same spirit, but I do realise that I was wrong to do that.
Brick Top Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Very dissapointing performance from our side. This is CL, if you get a chance you put it in the net. It's that simple. We knew we couldn't afford to conceive a goal. We knew Leicester are strong on throw ins . It's a disgrace. Our public and our performance. It's not the Club Brugge that I know and love, unfortunately. No patent remedies for heartache, just empty words and humble pie. I can only congratulate you on your first win in the CL. Well played, well deserved.
ealingfox Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Everything right. What a fantastic night for the club. Brugge were of course absolute toilet but we've rinsed them there. Well done to our fans in the stand as well. Worried a bit for our end tonight but you did us proud. Apart from a 5-10 minute spell in the 2nd half where they were starting to dominate the game you made our presence felt throughout. Just wish they'd shown more of the goonage in the away end after the goals. Congrats to everybody. Now let's turn this into a bit of momentum!
Filberts lovechild Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Bluudy brilliant. Well done boys so proud of that. Woah what about Drinkys effort just over the bar! Amazing night. Thought Slimani did well on debut. You could see how mobile he is Vs Ulloa, especially when Ulloa came on and spooned his first couple of touches. Great performance job done; let's win this

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Great result really really pleased let's kick on now
Lestoh Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Watched from a bar in Spain, the single Brugge fan there walked out after the 3rd, I'm so British I apologised

ARM1968 Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Tbf should have scored a few more. Shame King didn't get on. Oops. I'm turning I to Thracian. Must stop. Awesome result. Time to meditate.
ceredigion Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Competing in this tournament as the reigning PL champions will help us so much. If we'd qualified as runners-up or 3rd, people would have said ''what right have Leicester to be in the CL?''. But we are there by right and no-one can dispute that. I already believe we will win this group and get into the knockout stage and if that does happen, very few teams, apart from the creme de la creme will fancy drawing us.
Thracian Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 History written. Solid win. Three goals away from home plus a clean sheet. And, as I've said many times, you can only beat what's in front of you, however indifferent. So long as we use the result as a launchpad for improvement instead of kidding ourselves about what only needed to be 6/10 performance then fair enough . There were some positives. Amartey was arguably our best player for all that he was never tested in the way Liverpool did but he still deserved credit for a ppositve reaction to a bad day and I was pleased for hm. Mahrez's free kick goal was the only piece of real quality we produced but it will surely be included in any recording of the Algerian's "best goals" because there was no way it was ever going to be saved. He still doesn't convince me as a penalty taker for all that he scored after Vardy's so-typical burst of energy created panic. . Albrighted will be delighted to have scored our first Champions League goal and I thought it clever (if intended) how we drew everyone to the near post and left Albrighton to raid the gaping gap left in front of him. Otherwise, "workmanlike" was the way I'd describe our performance rather than exciting but the job was done efficiently enough and should give us additional confidence for the Burnley game which I'm sure will be a much sterner test in every way. .

Wymsey Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 Excellent. Everyone played well, Gray is some prospect. Pleased for Slimani. Okazaki is perhaps under-pressure to perform now, but that's a positive.

Clever Fox Posted 14 September 2016 Posted 14 September 2016 What I also likes about tonight's performance was that we never broke sweat.Other than Vardy's burst of speed first half. We Just done it in a controlled manner. Which shows we're learning.
