Fox 4 Life Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 This is a premier league game after one midweek match why are people expecting loads of changes. **** the EFL cup this is way more important - strongest team (bar Kasper) IMO
Tielemans63 Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Think this could be a very frustrating game for us. Burnley going 4-5-1 with a very energetic and physical midfield 3. Arfield has played CM a lot to and he's 'out wide' (allegedly) so I expect this to be a very tough day for Drinky and Amartey.
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Expect Burnley to go all out defensive. No doubt Dyche will come out with the **** either way depending on the result.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 ALL FOXES ARENT WE LADS come on chaps can't wait to sing ohhhhh I wanna dance with slimani i wanna feel the heat with slimani when I'm ****ED later
Nalis Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Good team selection, makes sense not to make whole changes as the first team will effectively get a rest midweek.

FireFox Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Just now, Will1981 said: seems a bit strange having 3 strikers on the bench and only 1 defender. Okazaki - if we need to change our style Ulloa - to replace Slim if he can't last 90 Musa - same for Vardy, also can play on wing Gray - same for Mahrez, or also to switch to a 4231 Hernandez - covers RB and CB King and Hamer needed obviously If Fuchs gets fuched, I guess play Albrighton at LB? Or switch to a back 3?
Koke Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Burnley have packed the midfield and will park the bus.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Yeeeeahhhh I wanna dance with slimani, with slimani who loves me

Not majorly as Hernandez can play anywhere in the backline, Fuchs can play centre back and Amartey can drop into defence for a midfielder if we got two defenders injured or banned. I like this team. Reading some reports it seems we have a real solid keeper who is better at crosses and using the ball apparently. I`d like to see if he does give us more there as we really do need to stop giving the ball away so often and Kasper is guilty of that quite a lot. Also, really looking forward to the Slimani/Vardy partnership blossoming and hoping Mahrez gets more comfortable with an Algerian buddy around. I want to see how they link up as well. As for Okazaki, his energy is amazing and he brings so much enthusiasm and passion to the pitch and the stands and we should keep him around but if there was one position I wanted a replacement for in pre-season it was his. For all the good he does, the fact he keeps falling down and more importantly doesnt score anywhere near enough for a player in his position puts too much pressure on Vardy and Mahrez to score. When you think our central midfielders werent really goal scorers last season and are hardly to score many this, you need your second striker to deliver more than Oka does. Again I`d love to keep him around as he can make the opposition rush into mistakes and his style of play may put a rocket up the backside of his team mates who follow suit but Slimani is different gravy. Lets hope he scores the goals to ease the pressure on the others.
MC Prussian Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 COME ON, YOU BLUES! Didn't know we had such a bad overall record against these: W33 D30 L43. Expect a dour affair, let's just hope we don't fall 1-0 behind early on. Otherwise, we're looking at fighting a wall.

Me too and the cynic in me says 1-0 Burnley! But at least with Slimani we have a better chance of scoring by slinging the ball in the box! Which with them having 5 in midfield we won't be able to play through them or hit on the counter.
Harry96 Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Think well just edge it with a late winner from vardy 2 1. Slimani to get off the mark hopefully.
MC Prussian Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 The bench mix worries me a bit, a lot of extra attacking players with Okazaki, Musa, Ulloa and Gray. Wish we had put another central midfielder on there in case of injury worries. Whatever, in the worst case, we'll just switch to a 2-3-5.
ozleicester Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Cmoonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn yoooooooooooooooooooo blooossssssssssssssssssss
sylofox Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 We need an early goal like Wednesday then we can rip them a new one. The longer this goes without a goal we could get fvcked.
Bernieboots76 Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 As I hoped the tinker man has really tinkered are strongest line up possible just need the performance to match.
st albans fox Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Atmosphere seems a bit muted come on fellas !!
MC Prussian Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 Albrighton just a bit too selfless there... Could've gone for the goal himself.
