Musa

Recommended Posts

thing is if we shift him out wide, we'll have six wingers competing for 2 places.

We can still play Vardy/Musa centrally, but we need that link man behind them. Okazaki/Slimani should be rotating for that role, every game. We've seen glimpses of Slimani do the Okazaki role (Vs Burnley, Brugge).

But he can't do it 3 times a week. Rotate both Shinji/Slimani regularly and, I'm sure Vardy/Musa will be more of a threat and get better service.

Well, "good" maybe too much, but he did have a spell where he was actually chasing players down and winning the ball back.

That's true actually, can remember him winning the ball back and then played a through ball to the invisible man.

He was proper shit today lol

Utilize him right and we have a real player IMO. Like others (Kapustka, Hernandez etc), they will still need time to adjust as at the moment they aren't regulars in the first team.

Almost impossible to rate the strikers at the moment as the service to them is so poor.  That desperately needs to change. The strikers have not become bad players but the midfield are not creating anything for them.  Perhaps we need a younger mobile player to play in front of the back four plus a withdrawn second striker to link midfield with a lone striker for away games?  Play a 4-1-3-1-1?

He received 15 passes all game... and we wonder why people struggle.

You recon the players thought they might be better just cutting out the middle man and giving it straight to the opposition instead?

Bit harsh I recon they might have sent the ball elsewhere based on that. The other question it begs to be asked is what did he do to encourage them to pass?

Inclined to agree with people when they say the service has been shit - it's been ****ing wretched.

It doesn't matter if you've got Jesus himself playing up front - he won't score **** all with the dog-shit service they've been receiving.

Aimless hoofing, shit crosses, misplaced passes. The service to our strikers is drier than a nuns cvnt in a sandstorm at the moment.

Nail on head!

Why are people on here jumping on Musa as suddenly being crap?

How the Hell is he meant to score goals in this team at the moment. There's no midfield supply!

Lumping a high ball up to a fella who's about 5ft zero don't work! lol

I agree. And given we keep losing away from home, let's chuck all the new guys on and go for it.

I agree, but the same could have been said about Vardy when he first played in Championship. I realise at the price we paid, he ought to be close to 'the finished article', but I still think he can be successful. Having said that, he looked far more lively at Hull when he was chasing down defenders which seemed to be lacking Saturday.

Does this thread need closing if there are two Musa threads?

Maybe he needs two threads? One for when we think he's shite and a waste of money, and the other for when we think he's brilliant and the best thing since sliced bread :D
