woznotwos Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Well that was definitely a point gained as they were the better team .
Karljohn Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Vardy doesn't look as quick, perhaps his wallet is weighing him down.
Vacamion Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 We were lucky to keep a clean sheet. I thought Huth was one of our best players today. Morgan still not looking like the defensive rock he was last year. Kaspar did OK. Let's hope some of them get a break.

tyfox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Vardy had one touch in the Southampton box according to bbc
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Wank game and probably happy we got a point. Lots of players not reaching full potential or close and we have reverted back to dull unintelligent football now. We look so predictable. Time for a formation change now surely. Mahrez poor and Vardy wank today. Would be arsed if one or both are dropped
FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Its the midfield poor build up play, just hoof ball all the time. We need some steel in the midfield desperately.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Not too bad a point today. Southampton showed they're a very good side and they kept possession of the ball well. Hopefully we can start getting our form back after the break.

As for form and output, He's not the only one it seems. I think with bigger clubs, the diva mentality usually takes a few seasons to really have a detrimental effect to the teams overall performances and results. But with us, what we achieved was literally on a shoestring budget. So It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that going from that to a bunch of prima donnas in a few months is a recipe for disaster. Really didn't think they'd fall victim to that after going through the journey of the last 2 seasons... I so want to be proven wrong...

Nick Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Not the best performance - we are not gelling yet. Home record maintained though need to work on our all round game and be prepared to rest players and bring them on second half. It also helps develop hunger and work ethic if their place becomes a competition rather than a formality. I'll take the point and move on..... I suggest some people on here do the same rather than begin reaching for piano wire. But please do one or the other!
TheSomersetFox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 we had no idea what to do with the ball today. Really impressed with Southampton mind, they're a very good team. They were the ones trying to force a winner while we were hanging on for a 0-0 at home... It was not great. Pleased we've come out of that with a point and the unbeaten home record still intact
adam Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Very poor all round today. Far too negative and looks like we're petrified about giving a goal away. Albrighton was so deep we almost had two left backs playing. Need to go back to getting the ball forward quickly and get players from midfield to support the forwards .With two difficult away games coming up in the next 3 games we could end up near the bottom if we don't sort it out. Oh and where was Musa. 16 million quid spent on a bloke who can't get in the squad. Nice one.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Agree fear we could be in trouble if this continues. We need to control games more.

Livid Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 More grateful than happy with a point after that. We looked very flat, every second ball was lost or uncontested. The quality of the attempted quick balls up to the front two were shocking. Amartey doesn't look instinctive enough for me always looking for that extra touch. Surprised that Musa made the bench on Tuesday but not today. Southampton were well organised and on another day would be going home with 3 points. If come May we've finished above them it will have been a good season.

sdb Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 That was pretty dull. Thought we were very one dimensionsal. Few clowns starting to rear their heads now: "the jap does nothing for me" "£18 mill of striker on the bench and we don't use him" i didnt know know where to start with either of them

MattCan Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Moving the ball forward from lower midfield has always been the main issue and is getting tougher due to opposition tactics. Beefing up the midfield with an offensive player is a must imo.

foxinsox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Very predictable, the Strikers were isolated, we need either Okazaki on or a different formation. We can be much better than this. On the other hand, another clean sheet, and Kasper looking good (except for his kicking). We do look like a mid table team who clicked last year but now back to normal. Next two away games are a bit scary. Gotta be a 5 man midfield for those.
desertfox2 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Burnley are holding Arsenal to a 0-0 it's difficult to beat a side that are mainly focused on stopping the other team scoring. Last year or the year before Soton would have thought they could get a win at us now they are happy with a draw. That's the main difference. We will finish top half this year.8th 9th I would say now. Hopefully have a good champions league run as teams won't look at us the same way. At least we kept a clean sheet against a good side
