Merging Cultures Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Is it further away than not travelling? It's just not an issue. There is no way the players deal with any stress of traveling. They didn't check their bags, they didn't do anything. They sat around in first class getting pampered. The last time I travelled, I flew from. Washington to Johannesburg via Accra, with two kids under 5. We were delayed and then had to fly up to Lusaka the next day. The delay was fantastic. We stayed at the airport hotel, ate sushi and had a good time ().These guys showered, did a sh1t, got on the team bus and turned up at home. They had no stress while getting on their aeroplane.

The season before last we'd have happily taken the point. Aside from Kante, I don't know how in earth we achieved what we did. It can't be down to one 5'6" bloke. We had opportunities, that last year we would have taken. This year, to do worse than last year and better than we did the year before, all we have to do is play like we did today. We will be mid table mediocrity, and to be honest that is about what should expect. agree with this
Dr The Singh Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Felt sorry for those fans that paid to watch that shite fest. I would have been absolutely fuming, if I travelled and watched that. For me the performance is unacceptable, too many players were well below par and showed lack of effort
GloverFox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 ... too pissed off to comment on the drabness of that game, so just going to throw out there the thought .... 'the Spudders are throwing the marker onto the table and shouting loud that their going after the title whilst we are just throwing in the towel' ... desperately dull ....
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Mediocre performance, mid table mediocrity on the cards, we need to get some fire in our belly again. The odd transfer window dealings really are becoming apparent now.
Harry - LCFC Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 They were better today. I keep thinking we're going to get into gear in the league and each time we come up with something pretty mediocre the next game.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Tbh it was a poor performance but it wasn't as bad as people are making out. Draw was a fair result. What I don't understand is though, Claudio seemed insistent on playing 4-3-3 at times last season, Aston Villa at home, Stoke and Southampton away early on, so why hasn't he tried to implement it this season? Against sides like we played today we really need to play 3 in centre midfield otherwise we have no outlet to the front. Could be worth putting mahrez in the middle with DD and playing gray and Albrighton on the wings
Domsdad Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Second best to every second ball! We got bullied all over the park- Van Dijk had Slim in his pocket, Amartey has either been told to mark space or he has no clue about being a professional footballer. I lost count of the times his man got the wrong side of him. We are lightweight, DD looks like he has been on the weights and it shows- the rest of them get knocked off the ball far too easily. To me it seems that the desire has gone, too much emphasis on cars/tattoos/money/books etc etc Oh and Atkinson had a shocker!

We had every advantage and yet we were lucky to get the draw. They made 7 changes. I think some folk are expecting miracles out of us at the moment (Ranieri included). You can't keep playing that same stable eleven and not expect flat performances. Those saying it was terrible are way off the mark. Southampton were better but we created chances, defended reasonably well and just ran out of complete steam. If we had the energy, we could have played twenty yards further on the pitch. We are middle of the road.

biggs Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Mahrez picked it up a bit, Slimani was up for the fight and Drinkwater again showed he's the only player from last season that has carried on. Our boys have lost their way and it's going to take some diligent focus from management and the players to get this season on track. We are a train wreck of a team at the moment
Fox 4 Life Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Bet Silva is buzzing he didn't sign for us now!
whoareyaaa Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Drinkwater is such a good ****ing player. Fair result today either team could have nicked it.

kingfox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Very boring and very average, Southampton had the better chances and perhaps should of won. Majority were average apart from Albrighton & Vardy who were shit. Amartey & Drinkwater did alright in parts, but in second half they were non existent when it came to second balls. Finishing the game with Ulloa & Okazaki up front I knew we wouldn't score. Only positive today was the clean sheet & Kasper's performance. No crisis but we need a Plan B, we're starting to become very predictable.
dayday Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 We have come to predictable and when you have sort of recruited players who's game is based on 4-4-2 then you have to worry.

I'd be very happy with 0-0 away to Southampton but not at home We ain't suddenly one of the big boys mate for the millionth time last year was a one off. That sort of attitude stinks, we shouldn't be beating saints as a given at all in fact their bench (long, ward prowse etc ) was better than ours (king, donkey Kong etc)
adejo92 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Awful performance. Not a single player on that pitch showed any effort or desire to win that match and i can only compare it to Sunday league football (sorry to anyone that plays sunday league). We are lucky Southampton were not much better else we would have been pasted. If only the club offered refunds.
Kendal Fox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Man... Southampton are a team never to be underestimated...But the fact is they were in Israel just 2 and a half days ago and we still couldn't do anything with them at home and were lucky to get a point. After a shaky start to this season, I still heralded much optimism that we'd do ourselves proud and cement our statuts as a force to be reckoned with in the PL. But let's not kid ourselves - The 40 point target alone is going to take a lot of hard work to achieve. Anything else is a bonus. I guess it just goes to show that the saying "If you can't beat em, join em" is a load of bullshit. Meaning that it wasn't money that won us the league. We seem to have forgotten that.
Chico1958 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 We just drew with a team that spanked West Ham Obviously we didn't play well but I've heard worse commentaries than todays 32 points and we're safe
