Our fans were hoping Deeney would be picked which was probably unlikely but the striking options are limited form wise (apart from Rashford) and Vardy never seems to get a chance for whatever reason.

The guy played 90 minutes today with no sign of injury. If he could do that then he's fit enough to join the squad and withdraw if needs be. Southgate banging on about continuity of squad points to it all being a little suspect. Chin up Danny, the lad's in the form of his life!

I hate that it's come to that but I don't get remotely happy when they score anymore. It triggers absolutely no emotion. They won away from home in the 95th minute during the last game and I just sat there motionless. "OK then". They never ever try to rethink the way they do anything and the fact it somehow seems to be getting even worse after that Iceland debacle is well and truly beyond me. No other FA would treat such utter embarrassment with such utter apathy. It's a disgrace.
