Hope the FA etc sort this out as well as introduce some form of winter break. Moaning about no league football then asking for a winter break in the same post

foxes21 Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 So the Iceland manager summed England up perfectly, according to Eidar Gudjohnson. Hard to disagree
Stevosevic Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 He doesn't deserve to be starting right now. But neither does Sturridge...
Clever Fox Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 Vardy is clearly being picked on last seasons form as he's done sweet FA this season.
Buzzell Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 There's no doubt Rashford should be starting up front for today's game.
foxes21 Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 lingaard over antonio is a disgrace. Not going to watch
promised land Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 How does carpet head start when he hasn't for the last 3 man Utd games? fa and sponsors picking the team?
billyn88 Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 Sturridge ahead of rashford, Henderson ahead of dier, Bertrand ahead of rose, Cahill ahead of smalling, Rooney ahead of anyone. It feels like we want to fail sometimes. It somehow gets harder and harder to care about the national side when it's so hideously mismanaged. A real shame.
TrentFox Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 Southgate failed his first tactical challenge in my mind. When Bertrand was injured, was he still convinced we needed a straight swap for another defender against a team playing between zero and one forward? Couldn't we have re-jigged to press even more ? Tediously predictable. Fear driven.

Unfortunately we end up playing sides like Malta, where it's really hard to fail even if we want to - so nothing ever gets changed until it's too late - (and sometimes not even then, as we can see.)
GloverFox Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 ... what a tedious non-event as a sporting football spectacle, why do England just look so bored with having to play for qualification?!
fazzyfox Posted 8 October 2016 Posted 8 October 2016 Southgate was seen to mouth "Why are you booing him (Rooney)". Gareth, pop round to fazzyfox's, I'll provide a pot of tea and DVD's / videos of his tournament performances. Strictly speaking they should be booing you for selecting him but when he decides at crucial moments to turn into a kid in a playground and rove around the pitch as he pleases and fails to trap a ball when the going gets tough....well, that's why Gareth.

Southgate has a point. Why were fans booing their newest defenders clean sheet performance. Bold move by southgate to play 3 CBs against Malta but it paid off.
weller54 Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Numbskulls actually pay good money to go and watch this international shite!!? Why on earth would anyone want to follow England and witness this shambles?

CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Kieran Gibbs called up - out of form, barely playing. Why has been picked ? The Arsenal next to his name. Someone like Charlie Daniels done well at Bournemouth.

Someone like Charlie Daniels done well at Bournemouth. Daniels is crap at playing FIFA 17. would add nothing to the squad in this regard. Plus he can talk to Theo who feels a bit left out because he has an IQ of twelve, which is ten higher than the rest of the squad and management (put together). The absence of Kane has helped a little in this regard. on a more serious note, southgate's future will depend on whether he has the bottle to ditch Rooney. (When has he ever performed at a tournament since Portugal?) he will get the job as its not possible for us to perform badly in the three qualifiers but we will flop in Russia and he will be out. If if he was prepared to drop Rooney now and allow the team to play at a better tempo and grow together then he would have a chance of doing OK in a couple of years.

It's good to get that off my chest! Haven't been to see them at Wembley for about 5 years, does it still take an age to get through once you've signed in on their site? It can't be for traffic, I reckon they employ the method so you think tickets are selling faster than they actually are, hence you rush to pick your block and go straight to check out.
