Casper needs to come out earlier and to stand up.  He needs to throw the ball out not hoof it.

Apart from these two things he could be a top 5 pl keeper.  But right now he wpuldnt oust the keepers ar utd cheksea arse tottenham.... he mught get in at lpool

I disagree. He does stand up and make himself big. I can't actually remember anyone dinking the ball over him where he's gone down early. His kicking is a bit frustrating but we're not a team that will play it out the back and my guess is, he's under instruction to boot the ball up so after the opposition defender heads the ball back, we have a fair chance of winning it in midfield  (I saw a lot of this on Tuesday).

He's not perfect but he's definitely approaching Lloris and Courtois in ability.

He's always improving. He's added the sweeper keeper part to his game well in the last 18 months or so and does it as well as anybody. His criticism for his kicking maybe down to the high standards he sets himself.

He he is a top class keeper and we are lucky to have him.

Up there with Banks and Shilton.

I'm not yet ready to agree with you on that. Yet. Certainly I'd put him as our greatest modern day keeper and we have had some great keepers in the last 30 years...

Now let's get a bit of perspective here. Banks and Shilton  had decent defenders in front of them. You ask anyone on here the rubbish kasper has had in front of him this season . Kasper by far eclipses them . You put that four in front of them they would have been garbage . ?

Not sure what all this talk of Kasper leaving is coming from. He is on 80K plus per week contract that has only just been signed, settled and 1st choice.

Liverpool - no chance and i doubt would match wages.

Manu - they have better

Arsenal - lol

Chelsea - Again have better

Man city - They want a footballer not a goalie

For me he is one of the worlds top keepers. Not that many better. But his worth to the team goes way beyond just his goalkeeping.

Agree, been terribly underrated on this forum for sure...

Too many OTT with the analysing...

I've criticised him in the past, but I think our POTY winner this season will be the easiest for ages - and who was our last player to win it twice? (As he previously won it in Pearson's first season back).

Not sure if he's quite as good as Banks and Shilton, but he's certainly the best since Shilton, as much as I loved Wallington, Flowers, Keller etc., Kasper is undoubtedly better than them and has more iconic Leicester moments.

First thing mentioning Peggy was tongue in cheek.

Look, I am a Kasper fan and understand the love in but let's get some perspective he is fast becoming a world class keeper, Tim Flowers was top quality over a long period this is where Kasper is right now but still improving.

I am just not having this, can't be bothered to roll out the accolades for both of these guys.

Kasper can be anything he wants to be and proberbly will, abet not with us, but he is still on his way to being great.

okay.

I think there's some nostalgia goggles going on here.

Flowers had one-and-a-half great seasons with us - brilliant in 1999-00 and the first half of 2000-01 but then Walker took his place. He only played 54 league games for us(!)

Flowers was great for us for a short period, but Schmeichel's performances over the past season-and-a-half have already far eclipsed those of Flowers without a shadow of a doubt.

I loved Flowers when he was here, but Kasper has clearly eclipsed him already. I think only extreme nostalgia will say otherwise.

So, the two goalkeepers that many players, managers , pundits and non Leicester supporters regard as world class and the best England ever had are inferior to Schmeichel?  Okay.

Honestly can't see us holding onto him in the summer, unless we win the Champions League and are in it next season.

Hopefully no stupid release clause. Can see him going for 40m in the current market.
