You're right about fans being reserved. What I don't get is the 7 or 8 lads in the pub giving it some, then in the ground absolutely nothing. So strange.

Herd mentality and sanitisation of the working class

The need  and obsession with being beered up to support the team is embarrassing.

Winning games and playing decent football. Pretty much the only thing that gets the whole crowd going.

A good atmosphere should be independent from winning or playing well, it's a shame it doesn't work like that but it's what we should aspire to

We are entitled to sing Champions of England though, if that is an embarrassment to you, fair enough, personally i think someone having a small cock is embarrassing.

Sort of thing somebody with a small cock would say lol

As I have said before that's not when they need it.

They need the support when they are piss poor and losing.

Not when they are dicking someone.

Some of our chants are bloody awful too!

Agreed we have some truly dreadful songs. Especially when we are (attempting) to be on the wind up.

Exactly what I thought, people slate our songs, but can't offer a decent alternative.

I do think we should sing more of the old classics though, but the newer are taking off.

the old classics get a poor response from the newer supporters, which is a shame because they are the best chants..

we've had some great ones over the years, just seems they are all a bit flat at the minute - i don't have the answer, just airing my thoughts

Yeah it should be, unfortunately the type of people that go to the football for a sing song and a laugh are massively in the minority these days.

Even at away games this is true now. We were generally quiet at Watford last Saturday apart from 10 mins here and there. Brugge was our best away end in years - nobody stopped during the 90mins - but it doesn't happen during league games.

I'm not going to call people plastic, but I agree, a lot of the new fans have diluted the atmosphere, as from what I see is a lot, not all, don't get involved.

Noticed this a lot at Watford, I delayed getting my ticket to go with my mate, who is 4 th priority, and the front 4 or 5 rows appear to have a lot of new fans, who hardly made a peep, and sat.

Might be wrong about them being new fans, but as a regular away traveller, you do see the same faces.

We don't have chants, we have songs that can't b belted out properly, hence the rather shit take-up and atmosphere.

Compare our songs to European teams who tend to chant words that can be shouted loud and clear.

We need to stop with complex songs that take weeks for people to learn and get some simply but effective chanting going, things that can be worked out quickly and belted out loudly.

If some people like the older chants, why don't they sing them instead if staying quiet? I only hear the union fs lads at the moment when in the kop, so I'll join in with them as much I can, even if I don't know all the songs. At least theyre giving it their all for 90 mins.

I personally don't care either way, as long as we are loud and roaring the team.

I've of the belief our atmosphere is generally quite good at home. Performances, league position and results are all key deciders though.

A double tiered Kop in an expansion would help. I've mentioned previously that L1 and SK1 blocks need grouping together behind one goal, but it is highly unfeasible/unlikely because it would potentially mean people moving from their resident seats, which isn't right.

I can't ever see an expansion, although it would free up space for people to relocate. Saying that so would relegation.

I don't see many people in L1 moving either.

Our home atmosphere was the best in the league last season, it's shit this season though.

L1 are never moving they go to throw banter (shit) at the away fans. Ufs/sk1 are trying to be original and back the team. 2 different things.

I know I was in sk1 at filbert st. I changed most won't.

Stop singing the following songs:

1. "Under the lights..."

2. "We're the right/left side"

3. "We support our local team"

4. "We know who (what?) we are..."

Also let's be honest, "Leicester boys are we" is pretty awful as well.

Hardly anyone ever joins in, and the tune sounds like a dirge.

So what are we allowed to sing. X factor police.

Oh and for the record the under the lights is one of the most original and best efforts in years. Had man Utd or man city managed to you tube it everyone would be doing it. But I guess it's just no yaya/kolo cunting song.

You sound like a bundle of fun. Literally the only one you have listed is left side yes that wants binning but has for about 7 years and it's only done away and is shocking.

But imagine being bothered by champions of England. It's taken 132 years so I doubt I'll be singing it again and neither will my 5 year old so if he wants to join in then I'll ****ing leave him to it.
