Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Cus I'm struggling. I remember being twatted 7-1 by Sheff Wednesday but at least we had a bit of a go - like the players cared. i really am having a problem getting any positives out tonights game. For me there was nothing. God knows how they'll pick themselves up for the game against City. This might turn into a 'four Yorkshiremen' thread, but this has really got to be one of the worst, most embarrassing performances.
StanSP Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 I'm sure there were plenty of shite performances around 2004-2008.
Lestoh Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 5-0! Y'lucky! Back in day when I was young'en t'Champions League were for good teams
TheUltimateWinner Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Sousa's 6-1 against portsmouth, a lot of similarites for me in tonights performance in terms of player attitude...
Tuna Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Portsmouth 6-1 under Sousa. Swansea 2-0 away 2 seasons ago was horrible.
Vacamion Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 That Barnsley game that made our forum a place full of chimps throwing faeces.
bovril Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Charlton away September 2007 was the nadir. Completely inept and devoid of effort. Milwall 3-1 reverse in 2008 was technically the worst football I have seen any league team play. Losing at home to Bolton 5-0 was a hell of a lot worse than tonight.
yorkie1999 Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Apparently that was the worst ever result by an English side in the champions league. And the records keep tumbling.
shade Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 the only performance i can think of that was probably as bad as that is honey G on the x factor
weller54 Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 The Argentinian army in The Falklands War!... But only just!

Seen people say that a lot, isn't like we had the money or momentum back then though is it? We were shit then because we were shit, expected for want of a better word. I think what people are struggling with is how we've wasted an opportunity to cement ourselves as a top English side, an opportunity that won't come again.
Ealing Fox Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Losing 4-0 to Arsenal at Highbury about 15 years ago was pretty horrific. Nil shots on goal. Still ingrained on my memory.
Zaid Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Drawing nil nil vs Hull in the great escape season
evil jack Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Bolton 0-5 was rough. 1st game of the season and they were newly promoted. It was downhill from there too...
Moksky Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 theres been too many to mention , our saving grace, it was our fringe / U23 players and the fact we had qualified
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 7 December 2016 Author Posted 7 December 2016 A lot of people mentioning the Bolton 5-0. Dear lord I'd forgotten that one. Day one and it was clear that Peter Taylor was horribly out of his depth and we were destined to go down. I suddenly feel a whole lot better!
Monsell1976 Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Forget the past, what's more concerning is the future. Ok that was mainly reserves but the performance's are getting worse game by game. We all have cried out for change, but looking at that, I think we no why their isn't much, we are playing the best of a bad bunch. Cant get to down about it, as it was a game of no real importance, but it was a game for those waiting in the wings to shine, and to break the constant back results, and negative performances, failed all round.
iamafox Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 Losing 6-1 to Portsmouth automatically springs to mind. Turned the TV off when we went 4-0 down
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 even in the 6-1, you could say it was positive because Conrad had the game of his life
Stadt Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 0-3 to Millwall at home was disgusting 6-1 to Portsmouth was laughable But I think this was more embarrassing.
