crazyleicester Posted 7 December 2016 Posted 7 December 2016 You have Coatsworth in your team name and you are looking for games where we played crapper? Wow! I remember the Pleast days and I could real off a few for you. However, Im not sure how this thread helps or even answers any questions. Most of our best players were kept at home, we even played our 3rd choice GK who hasnt played for us for nearly two years and we field a team that has never played together as a collective. We even gave a kid that half on here havent heard of a debut. Oh, we were also playing a side who have lost once in the league all season and have conceded 5 goals in 12 games, only two being conceded at home. Oh yeah, I forgot, we had already qualified for the last 16 and wanted to give people a chance to earn a first team place. Perspective FFS

urban.spaceman Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 2001 Garry Parker's one and only game in charge after Taylor was sacked - League Cup at home to Leeds at Filbert Street. 0-6 2004 Aston Villa, we were already 3-0 down and a fan ran onto the pitch to berate Ian Walker, who just punched him to the ground. 0-5 2009 Portsmouth away, just bloody awful. 1-6 2014 Already crowned championship winners, everyone turned up hungover and we got twatted by Brighton. 1-4 Any game I went to in the Craig Levein era, and everything about 2007-08. Can't pick out any specifics as they've all been erased from my memory.
ozleicester Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Any game.... win, lose or draw in the 3rd Division
Tuna Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Bradford home in early 00s 1-2. Wycombe 1-2. Bolton 0-5 - only match I've ever walked out at half time. Rotherham 0-1 in 2000s under Levein, they were bottom with about 1 point at christmas and we lost to them. Burton 2-4 in the league cup. Villa 0-5 under Micky Adams supporter threw season ticket at the bench I think. Portsmouth 6-1 under Sousa.

China Black Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 This is the worst as we're Champions of England, and the performance was a disgrace to that status. This was a European away match against an experienced European team FFS. This should have been the game which motivated the players to the maximum and shown Europe why we won the league last season. As Champions of England, the team should have performed a lot, lot better.
Donut Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Leicester 0 Bolton 5 Arsenal 4 Leicester 0 Leicester 0 Leeds 6 Sheffield United 3 Leicester 0 Forest 5 Leicester 1 Portsmouth 6 Leicester 1 Ipswich 6 Leicester 1 Leicester 0 Millwall 3 Probably not the worst defeat, but the worst game was Brighton winning 1-0 at ours, wearing that yellow kit with "skint" as the sponsor and Adam Virgo popping up with a header. Terrible

If anything we were having a laugh looking back at past performances that were wose than this. Everyone knows about the 'excuses' for last night. But given it was seen by many as the worst performance from a Leicester side for many years (and the worst Champions League result from an Premier league side EVER ) it was still a disgrace, whatever excuses can be chucked around. Yeah I've got Coatsworth in my name. If he'd played last night would we have been any worse

Cropwellfox Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 There was a 3-1 defeat to Cardiff late in the Levein era. Everyone had given up, players, fans, coaches, awful. Also the 3-1 defeat to Sheff Weds who stayed up and left us needing something at stoke to survive was just awful to be at and leave the ground listening to the Yorkshire lads celebrating

foxy boxing Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Cambridge away in the championship we lost 5- 0 but we got our revenge beating them in the play -offs
mackiepas Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Anyone mentioned Wycombe in the cup.. the worst for me, Roy Essendoh is a name which will haunt me for life
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Leicester 0-1 Rotherham, can't remember the year but it was Boxing Day and they were bottom and completely cut adrift, that was grim Also Leicester 0-3 Millwall, they were limited but an actual team which showed up how powderpuff we were And as others have said, losing 0-5 vs Bolton and 0-5 vs Villa. We've put in some shocking performances at home over the years.
zealot Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 1988. Boxing Day. Hamilton goes and David Pleat has been in for two days. We lost 0-1 to Bournemouth at home. My first ever game. Not a great performance. Yet that team of smokers and drinkers would have done better than that lot last night.
Wymsey Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Villa at home, where Ian Walker got hit by a fan. Or Bolton loss in 2000/1. As many have already mentioned. Goodness, hope this is a one-off bad result reaction to previous season rubbish.
isaidno Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7UgLWVO3otM Newcastle away in 1993. 6-0 down at halftime
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 This is becoming just name the heaviest defeats which OK they often go hand in hand with terrible performances, but the galling thing about last night was the nature of the performance even more than the result. Turned it off at 10 minutes after HT as we showed no desire to even try to get back in the game
Koke Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 BTW when was the last time we beat a side with 5 or 6 goals? In recent memory I can only remember beating Huddersfield 6-1 and beating Ipswich 6-0. Both under Pearson Even last season we scored 4 goals in a game just once and that was the opening day win against Sunderland.
st albans fox Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 How many of these 'terrible performances' had nothing, absolutely nothing hanging from them whilst victory was absolutely crucial for the opposition. Very few I would guess which is why last night has to be put in perspective.
DB11 Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Losing 5-0 to Aston Villa 24/09/2010 - Portsmouth 6-1 Leicester City
