Surely the chant needs to be (to those teams who won it pre 93 like Derby, Forest etc) "Premier League Champions, You'll never sing that"

It's just daft going to places like Derby and singing the original when they've won it more times than we have.

'Premier League Champions, You'll never sing that' = Problem solved

The song police guys here are deluded if they think 200-votes-strong FoxesTalk poll can stop other few thousands of fellow supporters from singing it. Some people just don't spend their lives on social media and don't care what other fans think about them.

What is this strange 'pre 93' you talk of?!

To me the best version as sang towards the end at Everton on Saturday was "Champions of England, we'll sing it till May"

Totally agree, we have never won it before last season, and sing well sing it till may, out of enjoying our success, instead of sounding like big time Charlie's which we are not.

There has been times were we sang champions of England you'll never sing that to teams who have won the title many more times than us, admittedly not in recent years, but you have to cringe when they sing the amount times they have won it back sing back.

I could understand us boasting and making songs up like Man U 25 song, I think that's what it's is now, but be proud, be humble, and hope for more.

Song police? Who's trying to stop anyone from singing anything?

I'm not sure that was the point of Voll's poll. We're gauging opinion.

Can we have the option of "why are grown men bothered about what other people that we don't know or care about think of us?

Posted

Since when was "why do grown men care about what others think about us?" The question?

its about making our selfs look stupid in the chant that's stated.

Its like a group of people living in Blackpool going to Paris and singing "a tower in your city, you'll never have that"

There are people who are worryingly concerned over what other fans think of us !!!

So they don't lose too much sleep

, the chant is accurate ,if it was" you've never sung that"

(past tense) it would be incorrect but "you will (you'll ) never sing that

is a prediction!

The difference being, the clubs we are singing it to currently are not what we are and haven't been for the lifetime of most of their fans.

Now children, settle down...Its not your ball, nor your title to keep...

Now behave yourselves...Be happy you can play with your friends and sing silly songs together.

I know its an hard time that we have to leave our inner boy behind....

But do it....!!!     You can still swear..that makes up for many things...:D

Come on that's just totally daft. The difference is that's an over the top chant about us. Not trying to dig at another team when it's incorrect.

Otherwise we may as well sing Weve got Payet and we are Leeds then.
