We seem to miss Walshy quite a lot at times like this as Rudkin seems to think he is better at his job than he is. We obviously dont know all ins and outs but I think he has run his course with us and we need to move on.

We have the same squad as last year except Kante, which they have now spent the best part of £30mil replacing. This is their money after all, if I were them I'd be asking questions of the management as to why we have drastically declined not passing more cash down the drain. Might not be all down to Rudkin....
Russell sprout Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 For all the crap what's going on,on and off the pitch,the owners have not had a bad word said about them,everyone seems to be at fault except them, i love the owners personally but we've all credited them with the success,so why does no one mention there lack of financial activity in the market,everyone is going on about Rudkin,and some if it rightly so,but it was the owners who promoted him to that position, theyve made a fortune out of the club aswell as investing millions,money isn't really an issue so why haven't(assuming they haven't) done more to get these players in, again im not slagging the owners off as such, just seems everyone's gettin stick except them?

We've been in desperate need of a new quality CB all January and what do we do, get rid of Hernandez and get some bloke who can't even get into the Udinese team. Also how on earth can we not get a player who has handed in a transfer request and who has a buyout clause with no interest from other clubs? It just baffles me. Like I said I don't really know what exactly is going on but from what I can see Rudkin has made a right mess of the transfer window and based of it he should be sacked. We messed around with transfers last January also with Musa, Slimani and Remy however the difference was we actually were decent but now we're terrible and are in great need of fresh blood.

st albans fox Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 I'm afraid we need a thread to question the ambition of the owners. if you are buying quality then you have to be confident of getting a fee if the player moves on. being too clever on negotiating - clubs know we are minted at the moment. They want their pound of flesh. Half of nothing is nothing and that's pretty well what we have got this window when we needed more. we can only go on facts and the facts are that we have players that want to come but it seems we aren't prepared to pay the money.

Or that their clubs didn't want to let them go and we know that to be a fact with GR but there has to be a limit on what you'll pay and it seems Borough didn't want to let him go unless they had a replacement. They didn't get one ..... People are blindly lashing out.

We madE it clear we wanted him some time ago, it's Borough who have failed in getting a replacement.
