Done some incredibly stupid things as you allude to on the football side.

1. Appointed Sven

2. Asked mandaric to appoint Sousa

3. Allowed Walsh to leave and didn't make him feel valued or wanted

4. Appointed Terry Robinson

5. Got involved with Dave Richards

6. Dismantled the youth academy

7. Ran around with the trophy as if they'd won it (I'm joking)

8. Organised the worst pre season in living memory as a vanity project

yes they've done some good stuff but 6 fairly major mistakes there.

They hadn't been involved in football previously. They were always going to make mistakes. Sven for me was an understandable mistake. He was an experienced manager with many connections, though turned out he was wrong for what we required. Terry Robinson had a difficult time, but it's not that easy attracting players as a newly promoted team with a manager who at the time hadn't managed in the premier league. Do we know enough about the Steve Walsh situation to judge whether or not he was made to feel unwanted? He signed a new contract weeks before leaving. He was being offered a bigger role close to home, at a club that had recieved new investment with a new manager. I would rather we made Walsh DOF, but they weren't gonna sack Rudkin.

I know enough about it to know.

Agreed. But also, they are very successful businessmen who undoubtedly will be looking to address the current flaws in their investment. We're fortunate enough to have owners who attend a lot of games, so aren't disconnected with what's happening on the pitch. Like the vast majority of us who watch, they will also be very unsatisfied with our signings and demise in the league. They had the balls to get rid of Pearson (who was incredibly popular at the time) when he didn't promote the club in the way they wanted. I am confident that they will attribute a large portion of the blame to Rudkin and his clique, so here's hoping our summer recruitment will be taken by someone far more qualified to do so, alongside a manager with a few fresh ideas on how to progress us.

It was more about morals with Pearson than footballing reasons. Ranieri as a principled man is literally gold for Vichai and Top. They love him. He ticks every box and they'll resist replacing him until it's far too late. Mark my words.

It's not just the transfer side of things - look at how many backroom staff we have lost over the last few years: Phillips, Idakiez, Mackenzie, Wrigglesworth, Walsh, Dave Worthington. All doing important jobs, all gone. Couple that with how we apparently signed Kaputska without scouting him in person and the failings of the youth academy. Some posters are saying that he shouldn't be used as a scapegoat, but the club is failing in all footballing areas at the moment - scouting, recruitment, youth development and the first team's performance. Rudkin should carry the can because he's the director of football. He's in charge of all of it, it is his responsibility.

But they publically stated that they did want to come here - Ramirez and acerbi who were our two main targets.

if we had blown both clubs out of the water with early bids that were acceptable then we would have both players.

posing about with incremental bids from a low base puts the selling clubs nose out straight away and gives them no time to sort out a decent replacement as they have no idea how much they have to play with and little time to sort it.

Its poor and we have word that the negotiating isn't rudkins bag so he may be getting stick when he has done his job by convincing the players to join. The owners should get the aggro and they will get rid of those who have let us all down. If they don't, them we know where the buck stops!

Some of the posts on here and twitter are disgraceful, some really nasty personal attacks bordering on threats in some cases.

Being behind a screen brings out the worst in some people, but what gives anyone the right to publicly call for the sacking of an individual.

Some of you should be ashamed of your selves.

I know this post won't be popular with some people, but to behave like this to someone who genuinely loves the club makes me think our club would be better off without some of our "fans"

What ever the opinions on rudkin and CR the following are facts:

1) We have signed some right shite.

2) Players are under performing.

3) Inept in every department on the pitch.

4) Tactically woeful.

One or both need to go as they play the biggest contribution to those facts. Could not be clearer.

And you know for sure that Rudkin is fighting without any hands tied behind his back?

truth is we know nothing and it's up to the journos like tanner to get answers.  But the journos in Leicester have no balls so we won't find out.

Not trying to play devils advocate, but we were shit at transfers before Rudkin, remember Terry Robinson?

The owners and Susan Whelan aren't stupid. They got rid of Pearson at the right time. They fired Sven and Sousa at the right times too.

Whatever is going wrong will be sorted. Whether it's Claudio, Rudkin, Macia or whoever. I still think Claudio should get the season, regardless of what position we're in.

Recruitment has been complete bobbins for two consecutive windows. Considering we've never had more cash to splash and we should have been capitalising on our moment in the global limelight, it hasn't been good enough.

Time will tell though. If we're patient, Mendy, Ndidi and Slimani could be excellent signings. The rest? Not convinced so far.

Rudkin has his feet well and truly under the table. Vichai and Top haven't really any footballing stature and have been bowled over by Rudkin for some reason. I've no faith they will act quick enough with Ranieri, I've even less faith they'd be wise enough to dispose of Rudkin too and even less faith of us having a plan for replacing Ranieri with someone better. We'd have to hope quality candidates applied like Claudio did.

Be be thankful for what happened last season, cherish it and don't let what's coming hurt you too much. It might sound drastic but I think this is the start of our return to the chaos of 2002-2008.

As do I. It's hard to explain it without it sounding dramatic but I really do think it's on the road to going bang.

We had direction before. We were gradually improving everything, the players, the facilities, the coaching team, I reckon in time the academy would've come as well.

Every time we made a signing you were excited and had faith they would go on to do well for us.

There's no Walsh to patch it up anymore. The structure Pearson brought is being dismantled and it's finally catching up with us. I'm just thankful that we did get the season of all seasons in the process.

I'll be shot down as Pearson is worse than Hitler in some people's eyes but he, as well as Shakespeare and Walsh, knew how to build. I think Shakespeare will be gone as well eventually, and can you hand on heart say you have any faith in us to replace what he brings?

We need to make some big decisions here, but the complacency displayed yet again in the January window shows it probably isn't going to happen.

If we don't drop this year, we will next year.

I'm worried.

Am I really seeing criticism over the owners? The owners that paid off our debts. The owners that gave us premier league football. The owners that have given us CL football. AND A PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE.

I wonder whether the owners are distracted by the King of Thailand dying. Might be that they have bigger things to concern themselves with than LCFC. Their ambitions for the club may have been curtailed substantially, particularly as we've already won the PL - this level completed, move on to something else.

In reality it is the players that have performed so badly and often.. That are the ones that need to repay the Club, The Owners, The fans..  Once they pull their collective fingers out and we move out of danger of relegation, we can look at the off field side of things.. But Rudders needs a very close look as based upon recruitment, of lack there of, something is going wrong.

Of course he is constrained financially - who isnt unless you are chelsea man u and man city.

The point about the signings is we have spent circa 60m on some right crap players who look worse than what we already have.

Let's also consider the summer:

we chased after both Keane and deeney and were reportedly bidding 20-25m for each quite early in the summer. Both would have been perfect for us in the sense that:

keane young good with the ball good defender and has been here before so would fit in quickly

deeney - hard working 1 seasons prem exp, Watford captain and leader and most importantly would be an upgrade on Okazaki.

ultimately we didn't get bids accepted for eiTher but that shows the club and management recognised the need for improvements in those position.

surely when those bids failed we must have had plan b's which fit those criteria above. What we then got was nowhere close:

no keane and we end up with a free trnasfter in Hernandez - the difference in quality is like an ocean . Surely there must have been something in between Keane and Hernandez

no deeney and we end up with musa and slimani. One is an outright forward and not a link man and the other is a left winger/vardy copy.

where is the correlation between what we originally targeted in terms of player attributes and what we ended up with

Jon Rudkin doesn't have the experience or pedigree for a modern DoF role. He has only ever worked within an academy, which let's be honest, has always underperformed.

Look at Les Reed at Southampton. A man that has experienced a plethora of jobs at a high level throughout his career. A man with a common sense, measured, long-term way of thinking and with a clear vision about how the football operations at a club should be run. A man who has created a setup at Southampton that gives the club an identity, stability and success. A man who ensures no player is bigger than the club and replaces any want-a-way players quickly and effectively. A man who admits that he has a list of potential replacement managers updated at all times, just in case.

Compare that to Mr Rudkin. A man who hasn't addressed a failing academy. A man whom doesn't fill gaping holes in the squad during transfer windows (Striker last January, Kante replacement in the summer and CB this window). A man who seems to be universally disliked. A man with seemingly no clear long-term plan, proven by the scattergun approach to transfers. But most worryingly for me, a man whom, when Pearson was sacked, did not have a list of replacements lined up and only considered Ranieri after he declared his interest in the job.

Incredibly, we had a perfect Les Reed-esque person at the club for years and yet we let him leave for Everton. Walsh said he left because it was a promotion. The fact we didn't promote him within our structure and instead stuck with the incompetence of Rudkin is astounding and possibly the most damaging decision the club has made for years.

One of the most telling posts I've read on here. Can't disagree with a word of it.

Can't believe all you no mark, poverty, chavs calling for the dismissal of the biggest asset the club  has. The D.O.F is the heartbeat of everything good about this club having put in place the entire structure for success. Without him  the dream could not have been achieved. You all ought to be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves. Yours, (and your lucky to have me),  Jon.
