Sevilla (A) Match Thread

3 things for me that sum us up this season:

1. Wes Morgan is has and always will be a terrible leader of men, as captain yet again gives no leadership, looks lost. Pathetic

2. Last season we pressed as a team (it appeared unless it was just Kante on his own!) This season it's one or two. Savage (unbelievable I know) picked up on it on commentary. The rest of the team watch rather than press with them.

3. No one shows for ball. Confidence is low but someone man the fu** up and take responsibility. Drinkwater looks like he doesn't want, whereas he couldn't get enough of it last season.

This is a collective responsibility and only Kasper seems to want to take any. Give up with this lot now, they've had enough chances and so has Claudio. Yes it's only 1-0 but it's the manner of the performance yet again that's worrying.

Definitely need to bring Gray on. Someone who can carry the ball. We are speed merchants with one tactic that hasn't worked all season. Try something new ffs.

1-0 will make us favourites in the return match.
2-0 very open match
3-0 makes Sevilla favourites.

Think even 3-1 will make us favourites, as it is then enough to win 2-0.

Keep drinking mate :scarf:

Sill in the game whatever the first half was like. If Drinkwater would stay in his position the shape would be better. Keep praying!

absolute bollocks. we're not favourites in any match right now.

you seriously underestimate Sevilla if you think we'll come back in any scenario such as 2-0 or 3-1 in 2nd leg.

Agreed.

We are playing the third best team in Spain here.

You'd actually look at this today and think 'right then...only one nil..Let's see it out and take em back to the KP to win over two legs'.

You just don't feel it though. Nothing about us shouts 'this is our game plan'.

It's like we are just lucky not to be out already.

No. He's completely isolated because Musa is shit and Drinkwater is only passing backwards. You need a CAM  in 4-5-1 and Drinkwater doesn't want to. He's not getting the ball at his feet. I knew he would be ineffective in this line up.

Don't be ridiculous

Nothing I didn't expect, they are much better than us, in much better form so we are in roughly the position I thought we would.

They are playing to deep. They have so much time in midfield it's ridiculous. We're no pressing enough. Kasper having a blinder MOTM so far

Amartey was last season

Ndidi has been our best player since his arrival.

Have to agree with the rest, biggest game in our history and Musa is strolling around like he's having a park kick about.

lazy shit!

Surely has to come off at half time.

Would argree but i think nididi has looked lost out there first half

Although I don't understand the Musa selection. Gray is a better option in his position or play King and go three in the middle.

All of our problems stem from our back 4 being dog and incapable of playing further forward than our 18 yard box. We get penned in and don't attack.

then I think you underestimate the advantage of having a home arena.
