Tuna Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 I know we always look at the magic '40 points', but I'm convinced 36 or 37 will be enough. I don't see Boro, Sunderland or Hull getting anymore than 35 or 36. Our win today puts is into the midtable pack.
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 We're 6 points clear of 18th and 6 points adrift of 9th juat saying 3 more wins will do is for safety i reckon
filthyfox Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 31 will do it this season.... but with a nice goal difference. We will get 40 and finish 13th

LJS Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 It almost always looks as though the bottom three will struggle to hit any more than 33 or 34 points and then at least one side always has a run. We know that 40 is almost always enough so we should want that as a minimum. Stoke, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Watford at home are all very winnable. West Brom and Palace away are opportunities too. I think we'll stay up comfortably. A top half finish isn't beyond us.
Treacle Fox Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Not really a necessary talking point anymore. Top 10 finish is far more likely.
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Win the next two .. which I think we will ... then we will be safe and can concentrate on a more important competition.
desertfox2 Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Can see it being a low amount this season I reckon 32-33 points would be enough to stay up. Can't see any of the bottom 3 getting any more than that. I think we will finish around 11th maybe 10th. Not bad considering where we were a few weeks ago
Monsell1976 Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Hull could muster up a few points yet, out of the bottom 3, I would say they are not gone yet

Poznan34 Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Next 2 games are Stoke and Sunderland at home. Win them both and we're pretty much there.

Just think with our new found confidence, we just need to be careful as fans, not to get to carried away, lots of twists and turns yet possibly. Sunderland are gone, but it's still wide open to Watford who goes down for me.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Play every game as a cup final. Hit 40 and we know it's done. Ironically a the start of the season I thought 10th place and out of the CL group would be a positive achievement. The latter was sorted a while ago and the former might now happen. Remarkable!!
maddog Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 36 will easily be enough for 17th this season. Win these two home games coming up hopefully and that's us safe. Then play 11 reserves away at Everton and save them all to give Madrid a right pasting. They won't rest their entire team when they play Real Madrid 4 days before to not risk embarrassment against their local rivals, they'll probably only make a few changes. Big chance for us to gain a nice advantage energy wise if our big boys (Mahrez/Vardy/Ndidi/Kasper) are rested. I mean Kasper can be played I guess but I'd be worried he'll get injured just before the first leg if he did so would rather he was not risked. Am I suggesting we throw the game at Everton to be more ready for Atletico? Yes, yes I am
fuchsntf Posted 18 March 2017 Posted 18 March 2017 Win all the games, and we are just about safe from any forum meltdown...
