Sturridge is 28, he doesn't seem to have been around that long. I thought he was about 23,24.

thought the opposite lol

seems like he’s been around absolutely ages. bare in mind the suarez/sturridge season was 4/5 years ago and he’d played for about 5 teams before he even got to liverpool. couple years at man city, when he smashed the league on loan at bolton, was the next best thing then the next nothing at chelsea etc etc.

Sturridge is a quality player who has had a career blighted by injury.

When fit hes up there with the best and a certainty for russia but he just cant get a consistent run of games.

Probably an age thing, your early to mid 20's yeah?

You probably remember him playing whilst you were still at school?

Turns out when Conte said he didn’t want to see “fear and confusion” anymore he meant Luiz and Cahill lol

Lets be fair he is a quality finisher and is a complete player.

Easily an england squad member when fully fit. Kane, sturridge, vardy as central options with the likes of sterling rashford and lingard who can play as wide forwards. Lingard on form over lallana

Not even that tbf, he was one of those that was a top six trevor benjamin, out on loan everywhere but inexplicably never sold. Guys been around for ages in terms of seasons, just doesn't seem that much because he misses 80% of each season through injury

This.

Rather have an away trip to West Brom, Birmingham, Villa, Wolves. Than go to a Swansea or Southampton.

I prefer Southampton, its only a 20 minute drive. WBA in a few weeks though, all that way for a decent curry.

I think you're being dreadfully selfish there Steve :P

Nothing would please me more than to see Saints and Bournemouth go down, so the tosser on our local news has bugger all to talk about

I don’t mind Portsmouth. Better fans than Southampton and a better stadium with more character.

Still never managed to get to the Vine to try their famous curry that people rave about.

Manchester City tops PSG, United, Barcelona for history's costliest squad
https://www.thescore.com/esp_fed/news/1485008

Reminds you just how amazing our triumph was..  impossible for any club including us to ever realistically  compete with the best on a yearly basis.

Gotta love peps comment...

"When you want to compete at the highest level, you need to spend," Guardiola said last month.

"Some clubs spend £300, £400 million on two players. We spend it on six players."

Which clubs is he talking about?  The one Neymar transfer?

I love how he's trying to claim to be the master of frugality

Ryan Mason forced to retire due to that horrific head injury he suffered a year ago. Only 26 as well.

Jesus. That's awful. I'd forgot about that to be honest, hopefully can stay in the game one way or another.

I remember the incident but didn't realise how serious it was at the time. He had neuro surgery that night and was in the ICU at St Mary's for nearly a week.
