We're proud of you

So as our wonderful adventure draws to a close. Rather than feel disappointed, I am filled with immense pride in my team, our team, our city.

We have taken on Europes finest and rather than be embarrassed as many "experts" claimed we would be, we've dug in, rolled our sleeves up and had a cracking time.

From Shakey, every single player and every single supporter in the ground tonight.

I am proud of you!

Onwards and upwards

We did not get battered.

We tried and looked much better in the second.

Well done all the team although I feel more quality is needed in the middle for us.

Very proud to be a Leicester City boy & fan ...

Well done lads.

You've done us all proud.

Some poor finishing aside that was a marvelous performance. Very proud of the boys. Gave a wonderful account of themselves. Another European goal for Jamie too!

8 years ago today we were promoted to the Championship from League One.

2 years ago today we moved off the bottom of the Premier League after being there for a full 6 months.

The last 18 months have been an unbelievable rollercoaster ride for our football club.

Tonight we were chasing a slender lead against an elite European side that was achieved unfairly - and we were phenomenal. Relentless. Valiant.

I have honestly never been prouder of this football club.

We WILL be back in the Champions League. And one day we will get JUSTICE against Atletico Madrid.

We're Leicester City.

TILL. WE. DIE.

We've won the Premier League. We've had great European nights. Let's finish this and win the FA Cup soon.

Then I think my supporting life will be complete.

Never been so proud, happy and gutted at the same time. What an effort.

Well played Shakey for making such a proactive and brave change rather than waiting for something to happen.

We gave them a game and that's all we could ask for. A lucky bounce or ricochet at 1-1 and who knows

We support without a doubt - the BEST football club in England - that's what i took from tonight, gutted and very sad but i just want to grab them all and hug them for everything

I don't care how big the Man Utds and Arsenals etc are - we stepped up, stuck our chests out and went for it when so many others have been dumped out with no ceremony whatsoever in the past years.

Screw all the press that are against us, screw all the fans from other clubs having a go at "little" Leicester for sacking Claudio - you're all only jealous as you wish YOUR clubs could be motivated to play for your badge half as much as our boys do.

Onwards and upwards, I fancy the FA Cup finally next year :scarf:

It's interesting, when the draw happened we probably all thought this wasn't the worst draw we could get.... but I'd much rather have drawn Real or Barca or Bayern... what a ****ing team Atletico are!

So so so so proud after that, we lost to an excellent defence, that's all.

In our first match of 2015, a thread was closed because the poster suggested we may win the league.

Less than two years later, our youth team left back is threatening to punish one of the world's best teams in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Disappointed to go out but that's testament to the fact we were always still in it. So proud of the lads, gave absolutely everything in that second half

I'm really sorry you went out.

I don't particularly like you as a club, but what you've achieved over the last couple of seasons is wonderful.

Leicester winning the Premiership is the greatest accomplishment in any sport, ever. I so wish you could have topped it off with the Champions League.

As I said, I don't particularly like you but the magnitude of what you have done means I was absolutely rooting for you tonight. You've been beyond brilliant.

Heads up, boys and girls. Anyone laughing at you tonight is only jealous of what you've won and where you've been. Good luck for the future.

Why don't you like us?

We gave you Matty James and Callum Elder on loan. How are they getting on by the way?

Had some great days out at your place in the past, always a cracking away day, even when it's pissing down and you leave the roof open.

Along with being proud I'd also just like to say thank you Leicester City.

You're a brilliant club to follow and there's never a dull moment, but performances like tonight are more than just a great game of football.

They're life lessons on what can be accomplished when you put fear to one side and why you're never out of a fight, no matter who an opponent is.

And for that I say thank you.

Very good tactically from Shakey as well. Changed the game at half time with his tweaking.

Congrats to everybody involved. Players, manager(s), our owners, the backroom staff, the management, fans... You've all made this possible. You all showed to the world what a classy enterprise this club truly is. Best team in England, holding up the flag, fighting until the end, just not giving up.

We've witnessed a tremendous adventure that has seen us, little old Leicester, usually hit by rollercoaster rides year in, year out, compete with some of the finest teams in Europe.

I do hope the players and staff will equally be able to rejoice looking back on the journey and take the pride and enthusiasm into the last few Premier League games this season.
