Leicester City and West Ham Set to Hold Talks With Ludogorets Winger Jonathan Cafu

4 k

Dharma Bhagalia26 APR 2017

This week both Leicester City and West Ham are set to hold private meetings in regards to Ludogorets star Jonathan Cafu, where they will be briefed on the various conditions that they must meet in order to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

There is also believed to be interest from recently promoted Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion as well as interest from abroad from unspecified Italian and Portuguese sides.

Cafu has impressed both domestically and in Europe with his most memorable European performance coming against Arsenal in the Champions League followed by and equally if not better performance against French giants, PSG.

Sport Witness believe that the Brazilian has a €12m release clause with Ludogorets most likely to push towards this figure if not more. For Leicester City and West Ham, this figure is not a questionable one and there shouldn't be any financial problems posed.

Similarly for Brighton, with their recent promotion comes a large sum of money which could help fund this transfer. The only potential problem for the Seagulls remains as to whether or not Cafu wishes to gamble with a newly promoted club or prefers an established Premier League side in West Ham or current Premier League champions, Leicester City.

West Ham will hopefully be under transfer embargo so this guy will finally be our's.

God how depressing is it that we'll be scraping with Brighton for players.

Who wants to go to a club under investigation for tax fraud?

He'll come to us!

didn't know he was still playing!!

Can't really turn your nose up at a player who has played for and lead Brazil to World Cup glory.

Maybe we can try and qualify

We already have.

We're in the same group as Afghanistan, The Women's Institute and Burnley.

The same names come up each and every window.

Agent talk, lazy journalists or something in it? Or a mix of all 3

It's common knowledge that we always go back for the same players each window e.g Musa

Laugh it off all we want but if we let him go Brughtin or anywhere else then we've lost our touch.

If we 'let him go' to Brighton then why've we lost our touch? If we want him he's ours.

Who says we even want him?

I've always felt that, in these situations, players go to the best club they can and all this talk of other interest is just rubbish.

When we were in the championship didn't we allegedly beat off Newcastle in the Prem to sign Knockaert?

Did we fvck. His agent just said they were interested to hurry us along.

True it certainly gets over egged but there are times when players are coveted by several clubs and it's usually the one who shows the most desire to pursue that gets them.

Is this guy good enough for the Prem?

10 goals in 23 and that in a rather crap league.

Had a couple of really good moments in the Champions League, though. Against Premier League opposition. But that was a bit like Mahrez last season, presenting himself to a larger audience.
